Three-time Olympian and four-time US slalom champion Sarah Schleper, 28, and her husband Federico Galaxio have welcomed their first child. Son Lasse Galaxio was born January 30th, weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz and measuring 20 inches. The pregnancy was announced in August and despite earlier comments, Sarah and Federico were married in October last year.

One of my best friends is a Lasse, and I love love love the name. Unless they veered, it’s pronounced Loss-Uh.

Common name for boys in Finland. Google agrees with me, so maybe they have some Scandinavian roots?
