She looks great as usual….but she is barely showing

- Robyn on

I dont know about that one, but is it healthy to work-out when you are pregnant and already had miscarriages?

- Stefanie on

Where is the belly??

- PSB on

Given her history, I would think its safe to assume Nicole has cleared her exercise regime with her doctor.

- madison on

Stefanie, I was wondering the samething. I am sure she got the advice of her doctors, but if i was her and had been trying for so long and finally had a healthy pregnancy, i would relax and take it easy.

- Melissa on

I’m not a doctore but I’m pretty sure It is always healthy to work out unless you are on bed rest. Exercising increases blood flow to the uterus, which is a good thing. Having a miscarriage is certainly not caused by working out so I don’t think it matters that she had miscarriages prior, since it isn’t related. Of course she should listen to her body, and not over work herself, but I think it’s great that she is taking care of herself. Her bump is so super tiny.

- juliana on

This is why they look so great after they have babies. I’m sure she did very light walking, that is good for us even if we are not pregnant.

- Emily on

That little baby bump is so cute. Remember, this is her first baby, so those muscles have to do a lot of stretching.

- anonymous on

If she hadn’t announced it, I wouldn’t even know she is expecting, she’s still so tiny. I hope this is a safe and healthy pregnancy for her.

- Michelle on

The only part of her body that seems to have gained weight is in her chest. otherwise she won’t start really showing until 5 months since her muscles have to stretch and she was skinny before. i didn’t start really showing until my 4th month and i wasn’t as skinny as she was before being prego.

- Laura on

Light walking is GREAT when you’re pregnant. Gets the blood pumping. It’s not like she’s jumping hurdles.

- Pam on

I know most of my friends who miscarried in the past were told to do no physically exertive exercise beyond walking and swimming, she could be walking?!

I was in the hairdressers today and read an interview in a European women’s fashion magazine with Nicole. It really made me very sad because in it, she was talking about becoming a mother – it made no mention of Isabella and Conner and the answers were as if this child was her first child, it was very sad. The lady next to me was a huge Nicole fan and read it when I was done, she then looked at me and said it sounds as though she is recently married and about to become a mother, not that she is a mother already. Neither of us felt anything but sympathy for Nicole, wondering what on earth happened that she hasn’t had real access to her children, through what we felt was no fault of her own.
I really hope that she has a great deal of happiness with Keith and her expectant child and that she is able to have proper time and relationship with her other children.

- Starlet on

I read an article where Nicole said the children preferred LA because it’s a big draw for teens and I can understand that. She said, she would probably be buying a house in LA so she could be closer to them at times. I think those children do not go without love & support from both their parents! But this is the child she wanted for so long to give birth to and I’m happy for her and Keith. I wish them well!

If I was 40 and had a history of miscarriages, I wouldn’t risk working out, I saw pics of her recently leaving the gym too. Granted I’m a health nut, I workout everyday, unless I am sick so I know how good exercise is for you. But if I was that age and had problems in the past, I would stop working out until I gave birth. My body will be fine, and I have the rest of my life to hit the gym.

- fallon on

Oh wow- she is barely showing at all! She looked bigger a few weeks ago in a dress, so it must be the outfit.

Light exercise is very good for pregnancy- I have read it also contributes to delivering smaller (healthy size) babies-especially for taller women, where the baby has the potential to grow alot bigger.

I wish CBB would stop allowing comments that will provoke arguments. Nicole and her relationship with Isabella and Connor are always hot topics that create a lot of negative posts on the CBB. As unfortunate as it would be, I wish the editors would disable comment on such people as Charlie/Denise, Nicole Kidman, and others that provoke arguments. OR CBB could not allow comments through that are about something other than the celeb/the kids/the clothes/gear (such as paternity arguments, custody cases, etc.).

Sarah’s note: Colleen – There are a number of comments on this post that we haven’t allowed through. It’s a delicate balance. We want to allow discussion, but not fighting and rudeness. We like to think that readers are adult enough to know what’s appropriate and what’s not. We have decided that posts with Charlie and Brooke will have disabled comments going forward, as do posts about Britney Spears and occasionally Angelina Jolie.

- Another day, another drama on

Wow, she’s not showing at all! Hopefully she will soon enough!

- Doreen on

I honestly don’t think Starlets comments regarding Isabella & Conner were meant to provoke any argument/or in a harmful way.

I don’t think I have ever read a post about Nicole and her children turning into an argument here on CBB, and I have been a visitor here for a while now. Maybe I’m wrong? But I think CBB does a great job in moderating comments. Sometimes I flick over to other sites and the comments are truly appalling- and obviously thats why I keep coming back to this as my main source on anything “baby!”. I’m not sure I could go a day without checking in here :)

- iluvallbabies on

Light exercise doesn’t cause miscarriage. I’m a health educator in training working on a miscarriage pamphlet with an ER doc, so I was just reviewing this information. And correct me if I’m wrong, but Nicole has only reported having one miscarriage and one ectopic pregnancy, correct? I’m *sure* she wouldn’t do anything without a doctor’s approval. She looks like she’s just walking.

Anyway, I’m excited that she was finally able to get pregnant and I can’t wait to see what the baby looks like!

- MB on

Regarding Nicole’s “not showing”, bear in mind that she’s an incredibly tall & fit person, and only just in her second trimester. I remember seeing Cindy Crawford (another Amazon woman) at 8 mos. looking “small” and thinking, “Horrible supermodel! How can she Jeopardize her child’s health by dieting at a time like this, blah blah blah”. And then, I think her son was over 8 lbs when he was born! I was so wrong! I think the tall girls just hide it really well!

- Tricia on

I know this is not proper at all, but her butt is fabulous. I’d kill for a butt like hers.

- Shannon on

She looks great! I wouldn’t expect her to start really showing for quite a while, she’s fit, thin, and tall. Basically a recipe for a tiny perfect bump ;) I actually don’t think most women show until after 5-ish months anyways, at least that is how it was for me, and from what I heard she’s only 4-ish months in. I’m very happy for her, this baby is very wanted!

- Amanda on

Thank you for posting my comment CBB as it certainly was not to provoke argument as other comments agreed – it was simply that I felt (along with the women next to me) incredible sympathy and likeness towards Nicole. I think CBB gets the balance very right with comments – discussion is a good thing, my post and most others are not critical.
I think very highly of Nicole as a woman, actress and mother – my reflection is that based on interviews I’ve read in particular in Europe where she seems to be much more open about her personal life, I do feel a saddness for her regarding the situation.
Best wishes to her and Keith!

- Starlet on

I suffered three miscarriages, and one ectopic preg., and I was allowed physical activity “to my comfort level” when I finally did concieve and carry three babies to term. So, I am sure Nicole is doing what is deemed safe for her and her baby by her own Dr.

- Snow on

I find it very strange that you didn’t approve my comment, when what I said was: she’s not showing at all yet, exercise is fine for pregnant women, and tall women often don’t show very much. Many others have said the same things. Maybe it’s the universe trying to tell me to stop wasting my time making comments about silly things? Still, it’s inconsistent and rather rude, I think.

Sarah’s note:? We have no comments here from you on our end. Your first attempt to leave one must not have gone through completely.

- Elizabeth on

im so happy for her…..wow…i hope its she has a healthy girl….not a boy…but a girl…hehehe……the work out should be fine….if she miscarries again…she may just lose her mind…she deserves happiness…..at least i think…
