Kate Hudson looks lovely with her little boy – and I love his name! But he would be even cuter with a little haircut…

Ryder is growing up to be such an adorable little boy. I believe Kate has stated in previous interviews that Ryder does not want his hair cut. I think he wants to look just like his daddy and that is very sweet.

Any idea where the adorable jacket came from? I love the plaid!

Wow, Ryder is finally looking more like a little boy and not so much like a toddler. I think it helps not seeing him being carried or in a stroller. What a cool outfit! He’s cute! I think he looks very much like his dad.

Angela or Sarah- please add to the post that Kate is pushing a Silver Cross Pop in Aqua (but not a very recent version). It’s a lightweight nonreclining umbrella stroller.

The 2007 version is on sale for $100.

He looks very cute, somehow a little bit like a cartoon figure!

He’s adorable. He’s got such beautiful hair and I love that jacket Kate has on him.

in an interview the other day for good day la, kate mentioned that rider wants to get his hair cut so she wanted to hurry and do it before he changed his mind.

The good looks stay in the family. Four generations now.

Ryder, is obviously going to be tall as well as handsome. Look at his long legs.

i actually thought he looked like he’d had a hair cut recently. i looks shorter to me than in recent pictures.

i think his hair is super cute!!

I actually like his hair this length. He is so adorable. ♥ I love his clothes too – Kate and Chris have great taste, in my opinion. ;) =)

What’s up with the stroller? Come on, he’s 4 years old and able to walk!

- Emily on

Why is it so hard for people to accept long hair on a boy? Are you people afraid he’ll grow up confused abot his gender orientation? Because I can tell you right away, the length of your body hair has nothing to do with who you are. If a man has long nails, it’s just as likely that he’s a guitarist as it is that he’s a transvestite.

I think he looks really good with long hair. :-) A determined little boy who wants to look like his dad. I for one don’t like it when people diminish their kids lives after what’s “gender appropriate”.

I love these photos of Ryder…he’s finally growing into his own little person. And a cute one at that!

Ryder’s hair needs a trim, but I like his hair and hope that if she cuts it she doesn’t go too short. My 4 year old son August’s hair was just about as long as Ryder’s and we just cut it to a bowl cut and we all regret it (son, husband and myself). He said he wants to start growing it out again which makes me happy because he instantly looked 10 years older (I’m obviously exaggerating :)

Don’t go too short Kate!!!

I think Ryder’s hair is cute!

Kate looks fantastic in those pictures. I love what she’s wearing. In the last one she looks like Kate Moss.

I guess there are two Emily’s on here. Maybe I’ll have to change my screen name.

Other Emily: Have you ever spent a busy day doing a lot of walking with a 4 year old? Because I have, and I see nothing wrong with the stroller. 4 year olds get tired and sometimes need to rest – and they often are too heavy to carry around when they get tired. It amazes me that with all the horrible parenting that does unfortunately go on in some children’s lives (abuse, severe neglect) that there are people who get so worked up over a well taken care of child who occasionally sits in a stroller to rest. Really, I think there are much bigger problems in the world than a child riding in a stroller.

- Emily on

he’s adoreable :-)

I have to agree with Emily #1 – I also think he’s much too old for a stroller. My son’s 3.5 years old an hasn’t been in a stroller since he was 1.5 years old. kids only have to get used to walk on their own feet. no way that a 4 year old NEEDS a stroller because he can’t take a walk.. come on…

- goodgirl on

just wanted to comment on the stroller issue as well… while i do think that a 4 year old can walk fine and doesn’t REALLY need a stroller – they are in NYC and more walking is done there than in most cities – and he will most likely get tired.

- meghan on

Exactly, after a lot of walking, kids need a stroller. No question. What if she stops to get a few things at a store far from her home, is she supposed to carry him and all the bags? It’s actually good preparation on her part. If she were getting in a cab, she’d be lazy and without a booster seat. Celebs can’t win under the microscope.

- K on

I love his hair, mostly because it is his choice, I agree that a stroller in new york is a wonderful tool, and I would like to add that he looks just the way I always pictured Christopher Robin from Winnie the Pooh

- keiko on

Ryder is so darn cute, he looks like kate a lot. Kate is so adorable

- fallon on

Ryder is so cute! He looks more like a little boy than a toddler in these pictures.

Poor Kate. She can’t win with you guys! It’s either CUT RYDER’S HAIR or HE’S FOUR! HE DOESN’T NEED A STROLLER! Geez. What are you? The parent police?

Why can’t we just make comments without trying to insert what we think makes a “good” parent? Kate isn’t any less of a parent because she feels the need to keep a stroller handy (in NYC, no less!) in case Ryder decides he doesn’t want to walk anymore.

I needed to get that out. ;)
