Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony attend UNICEF benefit

Singer/actress Jennifer Lopez, 38, and her husband, singer/actor Marc Anthony, 39, attend a reception tobenefit UNICEF hosted by Gucci during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Fall2008 at The Salon at Bryant Park on February 6th in New York City. The couple is currently awaiting the birth of their twins – Jennifer was overheard saying that Saturday, February 23rd will be the big day.

Wow. Her belly muscles are going to be shot after those babies arrive. That is one BIG belly! I felt so unwieldy and uncomfortable at the end of my pregnancy and I only had one baby in there (albeit, a very large one) so I can only imagine what she must be feeling like, since she’s short like I am.

Good for her that she got all dressed up and went for a nice evening out. She looks great. I’ll bet she got home and immediately went horizontal and made Marc rub her feet.

Seriously it’s just wrong for her to look that stunning…haha I LOVE IT…can’t you just SEE the absolute elation on both of their faces! Jennifer looks absolutely breathtaking–I am so excited to meet those babies–mom and dad have waited a long time for them and you can tell just how excited and in love with them they are already!

Oh my goodness what a bump! The clothes she’s wearing certainly determine how big she looks – in the pictures earlier in the week she didn’t look anywhere near as big as this!

I’m quite amazed she still has the drive to get herself ready to go out and about when she’s so big. What a woman!

I would bet my bottom dollar that she is having contractions. He face, not to mention Marc’s in the first picture is love but also concern. The way her face is reminds me of me when I was contracting…same with the way the tummy looks off to the side. She is stunning. I don’t think she’s going to make it to the 23rd. I would bet it is before Valentine’s Day. Either way God Bless for a safe delivery and healthy babies and mommy.

Like others have stated, I’m not much of a fan, but she looks wonderful and he is a huge talent. Someone said that they thought she might be having contractions in one of the pics although it could be B-H, or just rambunctious babies in belly. I would love to find out who did her dress, though. Any ideas?

Jennifer actually looks prettier pregnant! As far as her stomach muscles, after working out your abs and doing lots of cardio like she has for so many years, that muscle is fine! Her stomach is going to bounce right back to where it was before the pregnancy. I’m pretty sure. That’s why it’s good to be physically fit WELL before you get pregnant. Even when she was alot bigger back when she was a fly girl, she still had a flat stomach. I think her “danger zone” is the hips and butt only!LOL

Not disagreeing with you totally asm1976, she was definitely in good shape before pregnancy(I’ve worked with her before, so I know how stunning she is up-close), but stomach muscles can get herniated and more often women get something called diastasis – when your muscles separate and leave a big spaces in between. It happens when your skin/muscles stretch beyond natural capacity at a fast rate, which is very common with twins. The result is a saggy belly that doesn’t ever go back into shape.

I had this happen, because I am really small and had a big baby, so there was nowhere for the baby to grow but out. JLo can’t be bigger than 5’4″, so I’m guessing that she’ll probably experience the same thing. It doesn’t really make much of a difference how in shape you are before, since it has more to do with the natural elasticity of the skin/muscle.

I’ve been working with a trainer for two years and it has made a difference, but not totally solved the problem. I was told by my doctor the only way for them to totally go back is through surgery…so I’ll be getting a mini-tuck (a’la Dayna Devon) when I’m done having kids. I have a feeling JLo will be too—but after carrying twins, she certainly deserves it!

I have to agree with PSB. My mom is 5″1 and weighed about 100 pounds, then got pregnant with my twin sister and me! Needless to say, those stomach muscles were never quite the same!

Jennifer looks absolutely beautiful though! I hate to sound cliche, but she really is radiant!

I think jennifer will bounce back, she is very vain and there are very few celebrities I see, that don’t lose the baby weight within 6 months. If it’s by a tummy tuck or working out, we will never know because most celebrities don’t say that, but there is no doubt in my mind she won’t get her body back one way or anther lol. I just saw pictures of salma hayek, she lost a lot of weight too. Jennifer’s dress is pretty, it’s made by gucci.

Marc’s looking a little tired around the eyes, but Jennifer looks wonderful! I just want to hate her for working it while that pregnant, and looking every bit of it, and making it seem so effortless! I don’t know how she’s doing it.

Marc looks so tiny compared to Jennifer. He really is like a male shrinking violet. But at least he’s looking a lot better with his hair cut shorter again and the scruffy beard gone.

I just want to point out that Jennifer was actually overheard saying that February 23rd is her DUE DATE, not the day the babies will neccesarily be born (that’s what it says in the article CBB was linking to at first with the news about the 23rd). Although, I do find it strange that she hasn’t already had her babies if they are due on the 23rd, as that would already put her at about 40 weeks, and hardly any woman who is pregnant with twins makes it to 40 weeks.

Anyway, I am hoping that she did indeed say that Feb 23rd is just the due date, because if the babies are indeed actually scheduled to be born that day, that probably means she’s scheduled a C-section (although I suppose she could have actually scheduled an induction).

What beautiful photos. A picture says a thousand words. I read an interview with her Dad somewhere that twins run in their family, so the Anthony twins are a natural occurence? Some places were reporting Jen tried in vitro. Speaking of in vitro, it is now being reported that just as Demi and Ashton were giving up after several failed in vitro attempts and were looking into other alternatives, that their last one took.I guess the stress levels go down once you stop concentrating on it too hard, and makes a mother’s body more hospitable to pregnancy.

The Lord Blesses those who are humble. And Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are just that. I fully admire them because they are true to their heart. Even though many attack them, they comment nothing and that’s a lesson that should be learned by many.
They have come a long way and it truly shows that it was their pure talent and hard work, so let’s applaud them and face the facts. They are truly an admirable couple. It’s sad that these time and age people have become so envious. Admire them, bless them and thank them for their wonderful professional work. They look incredibly perfect and happy together, and that’s what truly counts. As long as there is love and respect they solely deserve the happiness they’re feeling.
