This is the best picture of Sam and Lola I have seen. They look so happy! I love the one of them all skipping or hopping!!!

Sam and Lola are adorable!

Aww, little Snow White (Sam) and is Lola Sleeping Beauty? Either way, they look cute in their little dresses.

Seems Denise is camera-ready with her new hair and everything. ;)

Denise is such a great celeb mom. You always see her with the kids, usually without a nanny and she lets them express themselves (like going out in princess dresses lol. Every mom of a little girl has been there). But you can see how much she loves and cherishes her time wit her girls and vice versa.

They are really cute!

“You always see her with the kids, usually without a nanny and she lets them express themselves (like going out in princess dresses lol”

Speaking as a former nanny, the fact that Denise is seen in photos a lot without a nanny means nothing. It’s quite common for hands-off mothers to parade the kids around for show a lot and then hand them to the nanny to almost complete raise the minute no one is looking. I’m not saying that’s what Denise does because I have no idea what goes on behind closed doors. I just find it interesting that so many people are so quick to decide whether someone is a really involved mother or not (and I’ve seen people do this in both a negative and positive way) based on a few pictures. There’s really no way of knowing whether any of these celebs really are hands-on or not – pictures and what they say in interviews means nothing. Especially considering it’s quite common now for celebs to try to boost their popularity by promoting the idea of “family first.”

how cute are they?!! i’m pregnant with a girl, due in may. seeing pictures like these makes me excited to have a little princess of my own! :)

- erica on

They are so adorable! They remind me so much of my kids every time I see a picture of them. My kids love to dress up, and to dress themselves. I used to feel the need to explain why my kids were dressed they way they were when we out in public, then realized that it wasn’t necessary–they are kids who are just having fun.

Denise is always with her children and they are clearly very comfortable and happy with her. That is enough for me to say she is a very very good mother who has a srong bond with both her children, and I also am extremely envious of the fact that she seems able to give equal attention to both children so skillfully.

The girls seem delightful and Denise’s glow shows that she cherishes that. That makes her a wonderful mother as far as I’m concerned and bashing her as Emily did is unfair. she was leaving a photo shoot not posing outside a pet shop like their fathers girlfriend. It’s nice that she was able to bring them to work with her and that they got to dress up too :)

- Mireillea on

Emily wasn’t bashing. She was just pointing out that using a couple of pictures to judge her parenting skills isn’t a good idea.

- molly on

I apologise if I misinterpreted Emily’s comments :)

I, for one, think Denise is probably a pretty hands on mom. Especially from the way her kids react to her. And, there are more than just a couple of pictures of them together…they have always been together a lot. From the time there was just Sam even. Should we think Jen Garner isn’t a hands on mom because we see her and Violet together all the time??? I tend to think the best of people. Or at least I try to anyway.

there’s a lot of gossip surrounding denise & charlie’s relationships to these girls. always keep in mind, much of it may not be true.sam & lola do seem very attached to denise & do spend a lot of time with her & that’s good enough for me!

- ang on

the girls are so cute, its a shame she is putting them on a reality show against there fathers wishes

- Ang on

All Denise’s photos seem so staged. Nothing natural about them at all. It’s like she asks the photogs to be there at this moment to get a picture of her and her children. Also just because there is no nanny does not mean anything. She may have the nanny watch them 23 hours out of the day and take them out for an hour, get photographed and bring the children right back to the nanny.
There is just something phony about her being a “hands-on” mom.
The children are adorable though.

I think you should consider just posting the pics of the Richards/Sheen children and not allowing comments, because for some reason it tends to bring out the worst in the commentators, and I’m getting a little tired of reading it.

Sarah’s note: That’s something we’ve talked about. I think we’re going to start with just comments about the girls only being allowed through, and no custody/photo shoot/stepmother/etc etc discussion. You’re not the only reader who feels this way, we’ve found.

- Ivey on

Sam and Lola are just adorable, and Denise looks beautiful and happy with her princesses! No matter what problems Denise and Charlie had, I hope these girls will grow up to be just as happy as they look in these pictures.

- Anya on

Talk about a photo shoot moment!

Those girls always seem so happy and loved by their mother. That’s good enough for me.

- terri on

Well, one thing is for sure: those girls are absolutely gorgeous and they seem like very close sisters! I know their circumstances are pretty rough right now, but they will really cherish having each other as they get older – they are each other’s one consistantly present family member.

Molly: Thank you for seeing my post for what it was.

I never said anything negative about Denise in my post. I don’t know her and so I couldn’t possibly know if she is a good mom or a bad mom. I was merely pointing out that you can’t tell if someone is a good or bad parent from a picture. It’s just odd to me how many people there are in the Denise/Charlie posts who insist that one parent or the other is terrible or wonderful at parenting. It is totally impossible to tell whether someone is a good or bad parent from pictures.

- Emily on

I love how these little girls dress. Ahh, to be a carefree little girl again. Can’t wait to see the pics from the photoshoot. Which I imagine the girls will be part of. I can’t fathom them dressing up so wonderfully and then not getting to take pics lol!

- Mary on

I think denise seems like a great mom, she is always with them and they all look happy. Both girls are so cute, and denise is pretty too. I can’t wait to see their reality show, they are such a cute family.

- fallon on

I love the comments saying “Looks like a photo shoot moment,” etc. Um… the post said she was just leaving a photo shoot for a magazine, of course her hair and makeup was looking perfect.

- Catherine on

I love the princess costumes. My mother allowed me & my sister who like Sam & Lola are close in age to dress like this…which is simply adorable. I love how happy both girls look. It’s nice to see them so relaxed. Compared to a lot pix out there, these are the first I’ve seen in a long time with both girls smiling, excited & having fun.

- Lisa on

I agree with some previous comments. I am always amused when i read some of the comments about celeb parents. There are certain celebs that are “off” limits to say anything negative about (ie the whole Brangelina hyped thing and Christina Aguiera) yet there are other celebs where people have no problem making comments about and the Denise/Charlie seem to be one of them. No matter how often Denise is (or isnt) with her girls people will and do call her less then pleasant names, yet other celebs (I wont name any to avoid being crucified!) who also parade their kids around, yet because they are so well liked by people, they are called “wonderful” parents and are praised to the point where I cant even stand it.
Either way Denise’s girls are beyond cute and I think its a great little family, not perfect, but no one is.

- Julu on

Julu: I agree about the double standards with different celebrity parents. However, I disagree with the ones you named. Everything Brad and Angelina do is picked apart and criticized. I agree with you that everything Charlie does seems to be criticized, however I have barely seen any criticism of Denise – I have however seen tons of people talking about her as if they know her and claiming that they know she is a wonderful mother. Some celebrities just seem to be the chosen ones, and everything they do is praised and others are criticized every time they breathe.
