I’m the same…my husband is Jewish. I didn’t convert but we do celebrate the high holidays, our wedding was Jewish, and our son is raised in the faith.

We didn’t have penis balloons at the bris, but my sister-in-law did make her famous pasta salad with phallus shaped tri-colored pastas she found online. Oh, my father-in-law had a conniption when he saw that!

My husband is not Jewish (and like Christina, did not grow up around very many Jews, if any) and I am – and we’re raising our son Jewish, so I can definitely relate to her funny inter-faith couple bris experience. I’ve been married longer than Christina, so my husband has gotten used to all the holidays and things like that. He loves that every Jewish holiday is an excuse to eat tons.

I can also relate to going stir crazy. I felt that way in the beginning. Oddly though, I feel more that way now, since I’m locked indoors most days (we’re in the city – no car) during the winter with an energetic toddler. Can’t wait for Spring so we can get out!

So funny, I can totally identify with her going stir-crazy. When my son was a newborn, we would go to the grocery store, and I would just wander the aisles even though we only needed a couple of things. I was just so happy to be OUT!

She is also doing a instore signing tomorrow for her DVD.
