Rain Pryor pregnant and expecting a daughter

Update: Rain has announced that she and partner Yale are expecting a daughter in April.

Originally posted November 12th: CBB reader Angela caught Rain Pryor, 38, daughter of comedian Richard Pryor, on a metro DC news program promoting her book, Jokes My Father Never Taught Me: Life, Love, and Loss with Richard Pryor, which was recently published in paperback (though for some reason, it’s a few dollars cheaper in hardcover). 

The interviewer mentioned that Rain was pregnant, and Angela thought she looked around 6 months along.

Cool. Her book says her marriage to was rocky, so perhaps they’ve worked it out?

This is news? I heard her on the Steve Harvey Morning Show a couple of months ago, and she was talking about her pregnancy at that point.

Sarah’s note: The original news post is from November. The update is that she’s having a daughter, which we didn’t know previously. If she discussed having a girl on the Steve Harvey show, we weren’t aware of it.
