Actress Nicole Kidman, 40, shows off her growing baby bump to her friends and family today in the Woollahra district of Sydney, Australia.  Nicole and her husband, country singer Keith Urban, 40, expect their first child together in July.

Why isn’t she coming back to the States? Her husband based himself out of Australia since April of last year because of Nicole’s work, doing major damage to his own career. Her work has been done since before Christmas, his work is in the States. She has a beautiful home in Nashville that she claims to love but was only there for a total 6 days last year. Her 2 older children are in LA. Flying isn’t a problem as she flew to Melbourne for the Australian Open and she flew to London to her movie premier & that’s a much longer flight than Sydney to LA. Is he going to be stuck flying back & forth every few days again? Come on Nicole, give him a break. Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville is a wonderful facility and you’d get more privacy there.

Maybe she is planning on coming back to the US or maybe her doctors are in Australia and he’ll be going there? Keith is famous enough that he can probably work from anywhere. I’m not a fan of Nicole’s, but if I had had the fertility and pregnancy problems she has had in the past, I’d probably stay put too – out of fear. Young people with no complications travel tons, but the woman is over 40 – I think we should give her a break!

Lori, Australia is her home country and she probably wants to have the baby there. I think that’s completely understandable.
Also if Keith doesn’t mind living in Australia why would you?

- Sarita on

I prayed for this. I am so happy for Nicole. I am sure she and Keith will be wonderful parents. God bless them.

She isn’t showing much yet.

Rosy J:
You prayed for Nicole to become pregnant?
Wow.

If you guys click the picture it gets bigger & you’ll see the bump. It’s pretty big actually. So happy for her & Keith!!! :D

Lori, it is totally untrue that Nicole only spent 6 days in Nashville last year. I live in Nashville and saw her around town far more than that.

Also, she and Keith sold his old house in Nashville and are building a new house.

And she is far more likely to have her baby at Baptist than Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is not “a wonderful facility” when it comes to Ob-Gyn.

I don’t really understand why you feel you need to have a say in her personal business.

Ans, I prayed for Nicole and Keith to have a baby together not just that she become pregnant. She has been pregnant before with her previous husband but unfortunately she wasn’t able to carry to term. Does that clear it up for you?

Rosy J:
It just surprises me that you’d pray for a celebrity, but eh, whatever floats your boat.

- Ans on

Lori,

Nic and Keith are both Australian not from Nashville. Her family is in Australia and its rumoured she will have her baby here (in OZ). Anyone who follows Nic will know she is very proud to call herself an Australian and has often referred to herself as part of the gumnut mafia. Why would she choose to have her child in America when American she is not.

- Sarah on

Nicole IS an American, by birth, born in Hawaii. She chooses to be Australian. Keith, is from New Zealand. He chooses to be an Aussie, apparently. America, however, gave them both their careers.
