Tichina Arnold says daughter Alijah is '3 going on 30'
In a new interview with Essence, actress Tichina Arnold, 36, says that her 3-year-old daughter Alijah is showing all the early signs of having a future in entertainment.
She’s into dancing and just joined Debbie Allen’s Academy for dance and Debbie loves her. My daughter is definitely going to be in the arts and surpass anything I ever achieved.
When it comes to a toddler’s first foray into curse words, Alijah at least gets points for creativity!
She asked me the other day, ‘Mom can I say ass?’ I’m like, ‘No you can’t, it’s a bad word. ‘Then she says, ‘Well can I sing it?’. I’m like, ‘No you can’t sing it, hum it, think it or speak it.’
Alijah also is very much into asking the question ‘why?’ Tichina says that, like so many mothers before her, she often finds herself telling Alijah "because I said so!"
Now, she goes around telling her little friends the same thing—if she says no to them and when they ask why, she says, ‘Because I said so!’
Alijah is Tichina’s child with ex-boyfriend Carvin Haggins.
