Update: Matt Wilhelm and wife expecting first child — a son

Update: Matt has revealed that he and Vanessa plan to name their son Mason.

Originally posted December 27th: San Diego Chargers linebacker Matt Wilhelm, 26, and his wife Vanessa are expecting their first child.

In a recent interview, when asked what his favorite books are, Matt replied,

The Bible and my weekly playbook (my second Bible). And now pregnancy books with Vanessa because we are expecting our first child, a boy, this March!

Very awesome news! Ive watched him from the time he was a panther, then a buckeye and now a Charger. We’re from the same county and were born in the same hospital around the same time
