Jessica Alba on her 'all day sickness' and the media focus on her body

Actress Jessica Alba, 26, now doing promotional rounds for her newest flick, The Eye, sat down with Matt Lauer this morning on the Today show to discuss the film, but of course, talk turned to the baby on the way. Jessica, now in her second trimester, shared,

I’m good now. I’m past the nauseous stage. It wasn’t morning sickness, it was definitely all day sickness. And I was shooting a comedy at the time! I’ve always loved kids and I’ve always wanted kids. It’s kind of perfect.

When asked about how she feels about her body changing with pregnancy, when much press attention has revolved around her looks over the years, Jessica replies,

You definitely have to go with the flow. You have to surrender. But it’s a shock to thesystem. Again, I’ve never been one to emphasize anything on my looks. It was just the polls, the magazines, they do it. It wasnever my thing. So I really don’t care!

That movie looks so good, I’m gonna see it. As for not caring about her looks and saying it’s all the media, I don’t believe that. She is always at the gym and she will be one of those celebrities to wanna be thin, a week after giving birth I bet.

I definitely can see what she’s saying about the media putting all the attention on her looks. And just because she works out regularly doesn’t mean she wants the media talking about her and her body. She’s just staying healthy!

Yes she may be staying healthy, but come on, let’s be honest, if she really didnt want ANY emphasis on her body, then why pose in teeny weeny bikinis on the cover of magazines? (I cant remember which one I think it might have been FHM right after she did that movie with all that deep-sea diving stuff in it [in which, by the way, she also wore very little]). Nothing against her but come on we’re not blind!
