wow! She looks absolutely amazing! A little tired, but amazing!! I can only wish to look that good on a normal day and I have never had a baby!!

- Gabbie13 on

She looks really good, but tired… Im guessing breastfeeding too?

Sarah’s note: Yes.

- LH on

Ok, I know black is slimming and she’s probably wearing the trusty spanx but – WOW. 2 weeks ago there was a baby in there and now you can barely tell. She looks unbelievable.

- madison on

Wow it’s only been 2 weeks, and she is already in good shape and wearing heels. She looks great.

- gianna on

I had lost 18 of my 27 lbs in 6 days. I fit into my regular pants after 2 and 1/2 weeks. My baby is 7 weeks now & I have lost a total of 21 lbs.

- Lynn on

She looks incredibly sad. I know I would have been if I had to leave my 2 week old.

I still can’t be away from my 4 month old without missing her.

- Sinsane on

Oh she looks great… tired but GREAT!!

- Sara watson on

Wow she’s tiny

- EK on

wow!Nicole looks amazing!
Lynn were you thin before?
I really wonder why it takes some women ages to lose baby weight and others it all falls off in weeks.

I don’t have children myself but i wonder if it is hereditary or what. Is it muscle tone? or just gaining a belly. I want to know the secret before I have children!

- tippy on

yeah – i figured it wouldn’t take long before they’d both be out – and of course leaving the baby at home…

- meghan on

I think her slim figure is heredity and just pure luck. I was down to my pre-pregnancy weight 9 days after delivering. I was breastfeeding but I don’t think that explained why it was so easy to lose. In fact, i am still breastfeeding 12 months later and have gained 3 pounds- go figure!

- megan on

I think she looks great! Both look a bit tired, but they’re first time/new parents of a 2 week old. I lost all of my pregnancy weight by the time my son was 2 weeks old, but I didn’t look nearly as good as she does. I’m jealous:)

- Chris on

She does look amazing for just having a little baby.

Tippy, for me, I think I lost all my weight with both of my pregnancies because I didn’t change any of my eating habits when I was pregnant. I still tried to eat healthy, well-balanced meals when I was pregnant. Yeah, sure, I indulged a little here and there, but I still ate lots of proteins, fruits and veggies. I only gained 26 pounds with my first, and 23 with my second. Every woman is different, but that’s how I lost all my weight right away.

- Dana on

She looks fabulous! She looked incredible while pregnant though.

I had gestational diabetes with both my children, but with my last one (she’s 3 months now) I actually weighed less 2 weeks after she was born than I had when I got pregnant. 11 pounds lighter to be exact. I got a lot of exercise walking with my 3 year old and I ate a really healthy diet.

- Mom2Ethan on

OMG she looks fabulous! I can’t believe they’re already out of the house at a party. Good for her – she could probably use the break. Sometimes I wish somebody had forced me out of the house more often in those early days. It can get really overwhelming doing nothing but breastfeeding and burping and diaper-changing.

Seriously, whatever she did to look like this, she should write a book!

- PSB on

Tippy – I think it has 85% to do with heredity and body type, whether you lose quickly or slowly. I think keeping active and ot overindulging during your pregnancy can help a lot, but generally, it’s just writen in your genes IMO.

I’ve seen a lot of women who were in great shape before gain a ton of weight, while watching food intake and exercising daily —and I’ve known women who pigged out and didn’t exercise and they hardly gained at all. If you have a good metabolism now, i probably won’t be a big problem for you. If you don’t (like me)…you need to really stay active and not eat ice cream daily. Good luck.

- PSB on

I’m really not surprised she looks great, I bet at most she gained 30lbs, and she was smaller than your averaage woman to begin with. Yesterday on the view they were talking about weight loss and said average amount women should gain is 25-35lbs. They also said within a week you lose half of the weight because a lot of it is the baby, water, placenta, etc. So if someone gains 25lbs, within 2 weeks usually you have lost a lot of it already.

- gianna on

Wow, Nichole looks great! Pregnancy was good for her.

- Daze on

She looks fabulous!
I too agree, genetics and body type are probably 75% of how fast one loses baby weight, that said my best friend was smaller than me pre-pregnancy, she has one child, I have two, I’m at my prepregnancy weigh, she has 20 or so lbs to lose yet (both her child and my youngest are 2 yrs old) I do credit breastfeeding to a lot of my weightloss but I have to credit genetics too, all of the women in my family lose the baby weight pretty quickly and easily. I can’t say I can credit myself much since I definitely indulged while pregnant and breastfeeding (gained over 40lbs with my first pregnancy and was prepregnancy weight by 6 weeks, fitting into my prepreg jeans by 2weeks pp) Oddly enough now that my daughter is 2 I’m having a harder time keeping the weight at bay then I did when she was just months old LOL

- Amanda on

I was one of those evil women that you here about. I actually walked out of the hospital (both times) in the same clothes–before I got pregnant. All I really gained was a belly. I was one of those who looked pregnant from the side and never really started showing until the 7th month. Doesn’t help my youngest was born at 7 1/2 mths lol…I had a hard time explaining to the Maternity ward Dr’s that I was indeed in labor and far along lol.

People always asked if my new babies were adopted…that got annoying after awhile. I may not have looked like I never even had a baby…but MY BODY sure felt like it!!!!

My Aunt was built the same way and had the same pregnancies…her and I are oddballs in the family. Mom and EVERYONE-ELSE are big woman, with boobs, and hips, and they get pregnant and stay looking pregnant for the rest of their lives.

- Kat on

As a past eating disorder struggler and now a survivor (over 9 years now!): I really do hope she stays healthy and is losing the weight in a normal and healthy way. :) SHE LOOKS FABULOUS and did while pregnant…partly because she was not underweight like she HAD been before pregnancy. Stay Healthy Nicole!! Yayyy! You look amazing and best of all…you have a new beautiful (I am sure!) baby to be healthy for. ;) Keep up the fabulous work! ;) Don’t go losing TOO much as you look perfect!! I know how hard the weight gain can be during pregnancy (for me it has been difficult anyways..), not that she had problems with it as well, but just saying that it can be hard for some. Anyhow, just wanting to say she looks gorgeous, holds her head up high and looks so great!

- Kirstin on

They both look great considering the unavoidable lack of sleep. Nicole looks healthy. It really seems as though they are taking good care of each other.

- NIta on

But the bigger issue . . . WHY is she out and about already without her baby. I’m sorry . . . that’s crazy. Two weeks? No. It makes me sad.

- donza on

Nicole looks AMAZING… I lost a lot of my baby weight in the first few weeks. I lived on salads and was breastfeeding constantly, and it was AMAZING for my body. I hope she continues to stay healthy… she looks AMAZING!

- Nicole on

All I gained was a baby belly. I gained a total of 29 lbs & now I have lost 23 of that. I don’t even care about the last 6 lbs. I am breastfeeding so I imagine that must be the secret. Although the day the baby was born, my stomach looked maybe 4 months pregnant. I still have people asking if my baby is mine because apparantly I don’t look as if I’ve had a baby.

- Lynn on

I have a question regarding the weightloss/breast feeding issue. I hear SO many women say that breast feeding helps loose the baby weight. I am not yet a mother (hopefull this year though!) and i an genuinly curious as to how that works? Is it just the large ammount of calories the mama is giving away??

- Morgan on

Yah Nicole!!! She looks great!! Hope she will stay at a healthy weight and not go losing tons of weight to where she was before she was preggers. Can’t wait to ‘meet’ Harlow~hopefully we will soon!!

- Doreen on

i do not know how she can leave a two week old to go out????? you could not have forced me away from mine….

- lele on

I hope that she chooses to keep some of the weight on b/c it has done her a world of good….she looks fabulous.

- Ann on

with my first child, I was the same way, two weeks after giving birth I was back in my size 1′s…ate like normal, and no working out…but number 3 was a different story…still working on the weight two years later…ha!
Anyway, I think she looks great…but a little tired (to be expected!) and I hope she doesn’t loose too much more!

- Southern girl on

Morgan

I breastfed for a whole year and did not lose a pound until AFTER I weaned the baby. I’ve heard this from a lot of people too. My doctor said that half of his patients lost tons of weight while breastfeeding and the other half had bodies that liked to hold onto the extra weight to make milk. He said it’s the luck of the draw, but that the ones who lose will probably gain a little when they stop and vice versa. I found this to be the case with almost everybody I know. Hope that clears things up for you!

And to all of you women who gained 25lbs while pregnant and walked out of the hospital in your pre-pregnancy clothes….I am SOOOOO jealous!

- PSB on

Wow…all I can say is wow….I don’t look like that now, and I’m 16 months post….she looks fab!

- Deana Webb on

Awwww they look tired!! cant wait to see pics of little harlow_about 4 weeks after i had my little man (he is now 10months old) i went to the doctors as the weight was just dropping off me ALOT and it turns out that after my pregnancy i got an ‘over active thyroid’ that was that basically :-)

- rhian on

It’s like presto! change-o! She was pregnant and then–bam!–she’s back to normal and has a baby! I’m betting she had a pregnant clone and this is the real Nicole’s first outing….j/k…;)

Seriously, she looks good but in need of a serious nap!

- FC on

I was also one of those women everyone hates. I was a little overweight when I got pregnant the second time and gained 17 lbs. After giving birth I lost 20 lbs and within 2 weeks I lost another 20 lbs. I can only assume it was from breastfeeding b/c I wasn’t doing anything different.

- Melissa on

I must admit, I am a bit surprised to see them out without Harlow so soon after her birth. I’m definently not saying that they should have brought her to the party. In fact, I actually think it’s good that they left her home, and I don’t think they’re bad parents for doing so.

Basically, what surprises me is how they, Joel in particular were able to leave their two week old baby. From his recent blog entries, it sounds like Joel doesn’t like being away from Harlow for even a little bit. Personally, if I had a two week old baby, I don’t think I’d want to leave him or her for a second!

- CelebBabyLover on

Genetics, yeah sure and breastfeeding, yeah ok but there’s also a little magic thing called SPANX and if you don’t know about them, find out. They’re amazing and thanks in part to Ms. Paltrow who admitted to wearing them after her pregnancies.

- JK on

I just have to say it cause all of the sites are like wow she looks great she just had a baby 2 weeks ago. Firstly black is a slimming color…and come on girls we all know about spankxx and girdles to suck it all in!

And let us also not forget that Nicole was extremly thin prior to becoming preggers and she really didn’t look to me as if she gained a whole lota weight during this pregnancy.

I think she looks great where she is right now. Her face looks fuller and her thighs look a little bigger. She doesn’t need to loose any weight at all. If anything when she gets the ok to exercise from her dr in the next 4 weeks she can just concentrate on ab work to tighten up her tummy.

- a- on

i agree with A. Pics I saw of her in a bikini about a year ago on a beach had Nicole looking emaciated and extremely underweight, as she had looked for about a year or so. I also hope she doesn’t diet at all because right now she looks slim but not ill, and just healthy.

- cindy m. on

Morgan, breastfeeding works great because of the extra calories you are burning but it also helps because as the baby nurses your uterus contracts more, thus helping it go back to normal faster

- Amanda on

She’s just beautiful! Tired, but that is to be expected. Pregnancy did her body good and I hope she stays at this weight, she is a gorgeous woman right now!

- Dooneybug on

Why is she out at a party and leaving her kid at home this early? Seriously, another Britney much?
