Update: Tori Spelling expecting second child

Torispellingliammcdermottcsh35336cb Update: ET has confirmed that Tori and Dean are expecting their second child together. Please note that there has still been no comment from Tori or her rep.

The friend hints that the 34-year old actress is in her second trimester. Tori and husband Dean McDermott have made no secret of the fact that they want another child relatively soon — son Liam Aaron is 10 months.

There has been no comment either way from Tori’s rep as of yet — we’ll let you know if we hear anything. Last time around, Tori waited until she was 4 months along to officially announce.

I would LOVE for this one to be true. I love Tori and Dean and Liam as a family and I think another baby would be great!

- tink1217 on

yeah, i remember on Inn Love, she was quite upset when she took a pregnancy test and it was negative.

well if she is, good for them! they seem like awesome parents :)

- Natalie on

Her son was born less than a month before mine was. She was my “celebrity” preggers buddy. haa.
There is NO WAY i could even think about having another one so soon! But i do not have loads of money either.

I was so impressed with the way she lost all the baby weight (where as I have 10lbs to go).

Hope this one is a girl!

- dina on

wouldnt surprise me! I hope it’s true.

- Lissette on

Aww. Good for them, if it’s true. I can’t wait to see her build another inn while pregnant. Hopefully she won’t be at her due date when they open, like last time.

- PSB on

Oh, i hope this is true. She was so upset on the show when she wasn’t pregant again. I also hope their show gets renewed for another season, it’s my guilty pleasure!

- Melissa on

I wonder if this will lead to another reality show for her. I saw the last one when she was expecting her first baby.

- Baby Pics on

She will have a boy and be so pissed lol.

- Jen on

Congrats to them if this is true! Liam is so cute!

- Crystal on

It’d be great if it’s true! Plus Tori and Dean want their kids in age so it’s expected. It’d be really nice if they had a daughter this time around, but whatever comes out of God’s hands would be wonderful. Hope it’s true and will be confirmed by Tori and Dean soon!

- J.J. on

Their show did get renewed but it will be about them looking for a house and looking at preschools from what I read.

- Kris on

Yea their show is coming back. Wow she got pregnant quick liam is only 10 months and she is probably 3-4 months, so I’m guessing maybe due in july. It’s cute to have kids close in age though IMO. I’m thinking dean and her are having another boy.

- gianna on

Dina, congrats on your weight loss! 10 lbs left to go is nothing! You should be proud of yourself, especially if you don’t have a full time nanny, cook, housekeeper and personal trainer!!!! :)

- angelbaby33 on

Yahhh! Congrats! Hope she has a lil girl this time around. :) This sure is THE year for celeb babies wow!! CBB, you sure are having your work cut out for you this year!! haha

- Doreen on

I love this family! Liam is such a little “cutie”. Tori has become my favorite celebrity. I envy her weight loss though..I have a 4 month old and I still have about 15 pounds to go. Ugh.. I couldn’t even think about having another one yet either..good for them though. Such exciting news.

- Lisa on

Congrats! If it’s true I’m sure they’re thrilled!

I’m due July 3, 2008. I was wondering if any of you ladies have any tips on losing the “baby weight?” I heard breast feeding helps.

- Sabrina on

i knew it! i saw her and thought “ummm she looks full”. good luck to tori and dean

- coco on

Congrats!

Pet Peeve ** It makes me sad when people say “hope it’s a girl.” Seems I read it on every post and when I found out I was expecting a son – SOOO many people said “oh, i’m sorry! Maybe next time!” Very weird in my opinion! I love little boys! Anyway, here’s to a happy, healthy baby!

- brannon on

I think so many people are saying “hope it’s a girl” because they already have a boy. Everyone assumes parents want one of each. Prior to having children, I always wanted one of each. But after having my first daughter, I was hoping for a second. I still would’ve been happy if it was a boy, but I was thrilled to have another daughter. And people kept asking “Don’t you want a boy? Aren’t you going to try for a boy?” I think that’s just how people are.

Anyway….if it’s true — good for them. As long as the baby is healthy, that’s the most important thing.

- Michelle on

I agree with brannon on that one. Almost every post on here, a majority of the people, I noticed, want the babies to be girls, not only with celebs but also outside the celeb world it’s really common. And I’ve seen people get upset when they find out they are having a son. I’m guessing it’s because there’s more to do with a girl than a boy like buying cute pink clothes and having a little “princess” around. I don’t know why that happens and it too makes me sad also sometimes. It seems like no one has the desire or care for a little boy sometimes. I posted before saying that it’d be nice for Tori to have a girl because she already has a boy, and she can have one of each, but I don’t really care what she has as long as the baby arrives healthy.

- J.J. on

I’m not gonna lie, I’m a tad bit surprised at this! I know how much they love Liam and how they wanted more kids, but lately I’ve been seeing Tori everywhere for losing weight through NutraSystem (I think it was that one…) so this is definitely a little unexpected. But Congrats to them! Liam is definitely a little cutie!

- Sarah on

well, i hate to say i told u so……BUT lol….tori & dean have both expressed a desire for a girl in the past,so maybe people r saying that because they know it means a lot to her…I AM(probably) NOT CRAZY yay!

- ang on

Sabrina,
for me, what I did for exercise was mostly taking walks or playing with my kids, and exclusively breastfed for about 5 months, when they started solids, and then continued on with the breastfeeding (no formula whatsoever) to at least 12 months. I actually ended up weighing a few pounds less than pre-pregnancy, but gained a little back after I weaned them. I know that isn’t the same for everyone, though, but that’s my experience.

- Michelle on

Maybe they do – and that’s great! I didn’t necessarily mean specifically Tori and Dean – just in general. My own personal experience was very weird – people acted like I had lost the lottery or something?! – and lots of posts (all diff celebs) seem to have comments along the same lines – just saying – as a “boy” mommy – boy clothes ROCK now and it can be just as much fun to dress up a little guy :) Plus – boys really love their mommies :) That’s all – not trying to offend :”)

- brannon on

That was fast lol! Congrats to both of them. Hope it’s an easy pregnancy.

- M on

Brannon I agree with you, I noticed with halle, nicole richie, christina aguilera, etc everyone saying hope they have girls. I don’t understand that because that is their first child, who cares what they have as long as it’s healthy especially when they have neither a son or daughter yet. Boys can be dressed up just as cute too. In tori’s case I know she has said she wants a daughter to experience that, and because her husband has 2 sons already, they would like to have a girl, but I’m sure as long they have a healthy baby they will be happy. For some reason I don’t see them having a daughter though. I think halle berry will have a girl not because of the way she is carrying or anything, but just a feeling.

- gianna on

I’m suprised they got pregnant again so quick. Congrats to them. I hope they get a little girl like they want.

- Heather on

Sabrina,
I had a baby boy 8 months ago and lost all 50 lbs (YUCK!) plus 20 pounds extra by following the Weight Watchers plan. I can’t say enough about how much I LOVE Weight Watchers!!! It just sets a healthy pattern of living for LIFE, so I really feel like I’ll be able to keep the weight off and do MUCH better with my weight gain with my next baby. If you are nursing, Weight Watchers has adjustments you can make so that you can maintain your milk supply and also lose weight at the same time (you get 10 extra “points”).

- Candace on

I agree about the boy comments too! Everybody seems to want a girl nowadays. I always had a feeling I’d have all boys, so I never entertained the thought of girls. The first one was a boy, and even though I have no experience with boys and didn’t know what to expect, I am in love. It’s definitely…different. They’re so wild! I don’t really care what I have next – though a girl would hopefully be less destructive to my house :>

Brannon, the boys clothes are much cuter now, but let’s face it—it is SO not the same wardrobe-wise. Girl clothes are so much nicer. However, you are very right about boys loving their mommies – I get so many more kisses than any mom I know with girls. Maybe we just have very affectionate sons?

I think it was obvious in the first season Tori wanted a girl. Even though she adores Liam, I think she’ll be a little disappointed if she has another boy. I think she’s definitely going to have another boy. Dean already has two boys – he has some fast Y-swimmers!

- PSB on

I am REALLY shocked at some of the previous posts. Honestly, I RARELY ever hear first time preggers-couples say they want to have a girl…and that is why I am honestly so much more “Gung ho for girls!” to begin with. I think maybe it’s regional or something, but where I live, and all of the people I have met that have been pregnant for the first time have always said, “i want my first one to be a boy” for some medievil reason. I think the majority of the posters who were rooting for X-TINA, Nicole Ritchie and some of the others to have girls were probably just because they are just “girly-girl” types and it is easier to imagine them having girls and dressing them up and glitzy and pink. I’m surprised some posts above stated that they think most people want girls though…that literally shocked me. I never hear people say that anymore unless they have already had a couple boys and desire a little change of color tones in the house. I agree with the post above about how Tori has mentioned she would like a little girl and i do think that is because Dean has two sons already. I am gettting a vibe though that she will have another girl. Honestly, can’t see her as having any girls for some reason. Anyways, all that matters is that the baby is healthy and happy! :)

- Rye on

I’m crossing my fingers on this one!! I just love this down to earth couple, they are such loving parents! I wish them the best!

- Denise Briggs on

Congratulations to Tori and Dean! They seem like great parents.

I think the reason that a lot of people say they want a girl is because its fun to dress them up and girls tend to be calmer than boys. That’s just my opinion but that’s the reason that I want a girl when I have kids. I’m afraid that if I have a boy first and keep trying for a girl, all I would get is boys and frankly I would like at least one girl in the mix.

- Kaley on

Sabrina, simply eat healthy and breastfeed, then when you’ve recovered add in walking with your baby every day.

WOW, those kids will be close in age, boy or girl I’m happy for them.

I’m sure they have lots of help cleaning, childcare etc, so I’d probably have several kids in a row too then!

- Star on

I looked on the ET website and there is no mention of this. Did anybody else notice? Could it have been retracted?

- Presley on

Wow! That’s awesome! Tori and I were pregnant together the first time – Liam was born in March, my daughter was born in April. And now – we’re both pregnant together again! :-) This baby is due August 9. And yes – we planned it – we, too, want our kids to be close in age!

- Diane on

Just for the record, breastfeeding does not help everyone lose weight and though I am completely in favor of it and did breastfeed both of my kids, it bugs me when people cite it as a way to lose weight. Healthy eating habits and moderate exercise are best but remember not to be so hard on yourself if it takes a while – feel good about being a mom and all you’re accomplishing with that and give yourself some time to get back to pre-baby weight (though that doesn’t always equal pre-baby body)!

- Berjoui on

happy for them! liam is sooooo cute in that pic!

sabrina- breastfeeding was AWESOME! for my daughter, and for me taking the weight off. i breastfed for 19 months and was 10 lbs less than when i got pregnant. i didn’t do any crazy exercise or starve myself.

- kemp on

Sabrina – don’t stress it will come off and congrats on your pregnancy. Here’s my tips as a mother and nutritionist.

The most important thing is to eat healthily and enjoy your pregnancy, light exercise like walking, yoga, swimming and pilates are all good particularly for stretching.

I personally found breastfeeding burns off the weight like nothing else but this isn’t always the case for everyone.

On the other hand once your little one starts crawling and/or walking you may be amazed at the weight that comes off just by trying to keep up with him!

- Ilona on

ITA with Rye about why so many people are saying “I hope it’s a girl!” when it’s announced that a celeb is pregnant.

I also have another theory as to why so many people are hoping that currently pregnant celebs will have girls….In the past year, a lot, and I mean A LOT, of celebs have been giving birth to boys. For that reason, I am eager for some more celeb baby girls to be born, and I’m guessing that other people are as well. :)

- CelebBabyLover on

Yea, that’s true. There have been so many celebs who gave birth to sons last year, so people expressing hopes for a few girls, but there were more years where more celebs had way more daughters than sons like in 2005/2006, and still, I noticed, that no one expressed hopes for a few boys. Is having a little boy that bad?

- J.J. on

I honestly think more people seem to think that it’s preferred to have a son more than a daughter, but in the case of these female celebrities the wish to see girls is because we would like to see the mini-me’s of these celebrities.

Anyway, girls love their mommies too. :)

- terri on

I have this feeling that Tori and Dean, are having a girl this time. Maybe if its a girl, Tori will understand how her mother felt while raising her, and maybe she can reconnect to her mother on a different level.

Angela’s note: Your feeling is correct. Tori has announced that she is having a little girl.
