Holmes-Cruise family out to dinner in New York City

Actors Tom Cruise, 45, and Katie Holmes, 29, and daughter Suri head out to dinner at Coco Pazzo in New York City on Monday, January 14th.  The family is in the town for Katie to do publicity work for her new movie, Mad Money. Suri will be 21 months on Friday.

I absolutely love that first pic of Suri! The expression on her face looks like she’s doing her very best to channel James Cagney with his infamous line, “You dirrrrrrty rat!”

- Terri on

Suri is adorable!!!

- Posie on

Suri is beautiful

I know it’s just a tiny little thing, but for some reason it bothers me that Suri isn’t wearing any shoes. Did they just carry her the whole night?

- Anna on

I wonder if this picture was taken outdoors, in which most pap pics are. If it was, it kind of upsets me. While this is a GORGEOUS child, it pains me to never see her properly bundled up for our 20 degree weather most nights. Here she is with no coat or hat. I never see her with a hat. And in the FAO pics, her mother was holding her coat while they were outside. I mean, I can’t bare to have the cold touch my face, much less a little own. All of our children always had a blanket draped over them, with a hat, coat and mittens. Why don’t most celebrities do that for their kids? Even if the car is only six feet away.

But she’s an exact replica of Katie. Love her little face!

- Shanna on

Suri is the cutest celebrity baby of all time! The look on her face in that first pic – she’s a born actress, and such a little mini Katie! She’s so adorable, I just want to clone her!!

- ZaraB on

Shouldn’t Suri be in bed? She doesn’t look too happy to be there. And Katie seems to have a problem with carrying her. And Tom Cruise with his sweater over a shirt, looks like some short accountant.

- Natalie on

Soo cute ! her facial expressions are priceless!

- gasp on

Tom looks very hadnsome for his age. Look at him in the first picture. Suri looks so cute squinting.

- Janey on

I love little Suri she’s too cute, i also live in NYC and its FREEZING OUTSIDE and i have a 22 month old that i am always bundling up i’m surprised that Suri doesn’t have a coat on.

- Leti on

Aww, I love her dress. She has the most gorgeous clothes. I love it. The first photo is so cute. Her squished up face is precious. Katie is so beautiful. Suri and Katie definitely inherited amazing genes.

- Denise on

Who brings a toddler to such an upscale restaurant? I hope for the other diners’ sake they had a private room.

- Lindy on

Suri is probably like my DD and her shoes come off as soon as you put her in her carseat! We carry my DD most of the time when we are out & about unless she is in a cart or a stroller. It also looks like maybe they are in entry ways…not outside yet which would probably explain the no coat thing. :)

- Amber H. on

can someone explaine why does suri wears a short dress? it’s winterrrrrrr.pore thing…i feel sorry for her

- zina on

aww Suri is so cute!

So she doesn’t have shoes. Maybe they’re in Katies bag but I will agree with the not having a coat on. I remember that the whole family was bundled up in coats, hats and scarves one day when it was like 70 degrees outside yet it’s about 20 degrees and they’re all coatless! But perhaps they weren’t outside just yet but I don’t even see them carrying coats. Unless it was a quick walk from car to the restaurant.

- J.M. on

I think that dress is a Helena dress from Neiman Marcus. It’s adorable– and a great color for Suri with that dark hair and alabaster skin!

I want her to have a playdate with my little girl!!!!!

And too funny– my daughter’s schedule is much like Suri’s… up til 10-ish, sleeps til 9. Sadly, those days must end soon to prepare for preschool!

- Tara on

if you look close at the first photo, katie and suri have nearly identical facial expressions! suri definately inherited her mothers genes! what a cute duo!

- natalie on

I wouldn’t let her walk if I were the parents…with all the paparazzi around? No way! And I doubt they’re waiting for their limo for more than 5 seconds outside, they get picked up as soon as they walk out that door.

- jen on

she has the best hair! as for taking her to an upscale restuarant, we do it with my daughter all the time.

- Monika on

If they are just going to a waiting car from the doorway of the restaurant, I’m sure Suri will be fine. I live in NYC too and though it’s cold, if I had a chauffeur waiting ten feet away, I’d probably skip the coat too – just because it often takes so longer to get it on my son than we’d be outside. Ditto with the shoes – if they are going straight into the car, who cares?

I agree with the poster who said it’s strange to bring Suri to a fancy restaurant at night. I’m sure she’s well-behaved, but I really feel there are certain places that are not for babies or little children. People are usually there for a romantic meal and they are trying to get away from their own kids – they don’t need to hear/see yours. There are plenty of child-friendly restaurants they could go to. Mario Batali has a great one, named Otto, in the Village – just in case any of you are thinking of visiting NYC!

- PSB on

Shouldn’t Suri be in bed? They always take her to restaurant for dinner when she probably should be at home in bed. They just want to show her off. She doesn’t look too happy. And Tom Cruise wears a sweater over his shirt, his accountant look. And Katie seems to have problems to carry Suri. Good parents????

- Larice on

am I the only one that finds it kinda wrong how she’s holding suri in the second picture? her dress being up like that?

- Jillyen on

what a beautiful family!Tom looks really handsome. And Suri is just too beautiful for words!!

- psc on

Tom needs to step up and do some of the carrying if they aren’t into strollers.

- Ginger on

WOW, U guys, are sooo judgmental.. who r u to judge? They are such a great looking family, you guys look way to far in a picture. I want to be paparazzi for some of you regular folks… Wonder what those pictures will say!

Have ya thought about maybe they had to pick up their coats? Maybe the little girl shoes are in her mom purse or (my favorite spot) her coat (that yall can’t see) pockets?
Y’all get the point!

- Kema on

Ginger- I’m guessing that Katie probably doesn’t mind carrying Suri (in fact, I’ll even go as far as to guess that she enjoys it!), and I’m sure she’d ask Tom to carry Suri sometimes if she didn’t want to.

I have to say, your comment reminds me of how, when Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was still an infant, people were always complaning about Brad hardly ever holding/carrying her….and then more pictures of him holding/carrying her came out and people started complaining about Angie hardly ever holding/carrying her! As I have said before, some of these celebs are d*mnd if they don’t, d*mnd if they do!

- Annoyomus on

Oh, and FYI- There have been pictures of Tom carrying Suri; At Connor and Bella’s soccer games, in Italy when they got married, on the set of “Mad Money”, etc. Also, we have seen quite a few pictures of Suri walking as well. Therefore, she isn’t always carried. :)

- Annoyomus on

Wow. Defensive much there, Annoy-omus? Who are you hiding behind that moniker? Katie? Is that you? I was just stating what I tend to see quite often.

- Ginger on

Ginger- Sorry about that. I admit, I DID get a little too defensive.

Anyway, I am not “hiding” behind my screenname. I simply prefer not to give out my real name on the Internet, for safety reasons.
