Miley Cyrus spends time with Tracy's Kids

Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus, 15, has been busy entertaining the nation’s capital Monday night with her Best of Both Worlds concert at the Verizon Center. The noise level at the concert was so loud that The Washington Post compared the noise level to the sound of a power saw up close: 111 decibels.

Miley told the crowd:

You guys are loud but you’re not loud enough for a Miley Cyrus concert.

While Miley was in the Washington D.C. area, she took time out of her busy schedule to visit with patients at Georgetown University Medical Center and Children’s Hospital. The non-profit organization called Tracy’s Kids arranged for around 100 parents and their children to meet with Miley. She gave out autographs and took pictures with the parents and children.

Miley asked the children if they had any questions for her and at first, no one responded. Finally, someone quite young asked her:

How old are you?

Miley responded:

I’m 15.

Miley is the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and Tish Cyrus. In December 2007, Miley was ranked #17 in the list of Forbes top twenty earners under 25 with an annual earning of $3.5 million.

Its so nice to see her doing something generous like that, unlike most of the other young starlets these days. She’s becoming so famous so I’m glad that young girls have someone like her to like up to.

You know, a few weeks ago she also visited a childrens’ hospital here, while on tour. I wonder if she is doing it everywhere. Anyway, my hubby works at the hospital and said that she put out the word that if any employees tried to get her autograph or whatnot…she would leave. While some were upset, I say good for her. She was there to see sick children, not a free-for-all. Needless to say, no one bothered her and she spent quite a bit of time with kids in ICU.

She seems like a very bright and big-hearted girl. Good for her. It really is nice that girls have someone like her to look up to.
