Jaime Pressly believes in 'finding balance' in motherhood

Jaimepresslydezicalvo_cbb_2 My Name Is Earl actress, Jaime Pressly, 30, believes new moms need to ‘find balance.’ Jaime gave birth to son, Dezi James, 7 months ago and shared her advice with People:

You have to make time for yourself and find ‘me’ time, whether that means taking a 15-minute bath or taking time to work out while someone watches the kids.

Jaime and fiancé Eric Calvo, aka DJ Cubiche, took a night to themselves and attended the December 29 opening of Home St. Louis, a nightclub in St. Charles, Missouri. Jaime spoke a little about Dezi’s first Christmas.

It was great. He didn’t care about any of the toys. He only cared about the wrapping it came in — the tissue paper and the boxes.

Jaime spoke a bit about losing the baby weight ‘the old-fashioned way.’

I worked out with a trainer and resistance weights, and I dieted. I did the cabbage soup diet twice.

Jaime said it took her 12 weeks to lose the extra 42 pounds through diet and exercise.

When asked whether or not she was ready for another baby, Jaime responded:

We definitely want more children. Just not right now. We’re happy with things the way they are. Look at Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell. They make it work [without being married].

And when it comes to New Year’s resolutions, Jaime says her resolution is:

To keep a balance in my life between my son and Eric and work. If you don’t this business can get out of control.

Finally, a celebrity admits to a crazy diet! I’ve done the cabbage soup diet, too. It works but it’s probably not a good idea while breastfeeding.

From what Jamie said in the interview (“just look at Golide Hawn and Kurt Russell”), it sounds like she and Eric are not planning to get married. That in itself doesn’t bother me at all. However, I am a little confused as to why they would get engaged if they aren’t planning on ever getting married?

All of that said, however, I do have to say one thing in Jaime’s defense. It irks me when magazines ask celebs if they are ready for another child when their first or youngest child isn’t even a year old yet! I mean, for goodness sakes, give them a little time to enjoy the first one (or the ones they already have, if they have more than one)!
