Introducing Carmen Noel Canales

Olympic gold medalist Dominique Moceanu Canales, 26, and her husband Michael Canales, 30, welcomed Carmen Noel on Christmas Day, and the parents introduce their daughter — dressed in a Santa suit! — today. Dominique says,

She truly is a beautiful and peaceful baby. Christmas miracles still do exist!

Proud dad Mike joked that perhaps Carmen’s early yet perfectly planned arrival is a glimpse of things to come — such as a possible gymnastics future,

Carmen was a very pleasant surprise, considering she was supposed to be born on January 3. Baby and Mommy are both very well. Baby appears to have innate discipline!

I was hoping we’d get a pic soon, but I had no idea it would be this soon. Yay! Aww, Carmen looks like a sweetie pie. It’s still early yet, and I’m sure her looks will change some over the next couple of days, but in that pic she looks like Dominique to me. Future gymnast
