Brooke Burke blogs about nursery design

Television personality Brooke Burke, a mother of three with one on the way, has had plenty of experience with designing nurseries. The 36-year-old decided to share some of her tips in her latest blog entry at Baboosh Baby.

I wanted to share some info with anyone who is expecting.  I worked with a nursery designer while I was pregnant with Rain. We pulled fabrics together, came up with a color scheme and we discussed all the necessities that a nursery should have.

Designing a room can be overwhelming, and the pieces one might chose may not utilize space in the best way. I found that seeing an actual sketch was really helpful. I highly recommend using a designer and incorporating your own personal touch and desires. A lot of the work can be done via e-mail.

I worked with Tori Swam from New Arrivals. Check out her website, www.newarrivalsinc.com, there you can see many of her celebrity nurseries, and some great pics of Rain’s own.  She saved me so much time and stress.  If it’s in your budget, do it. If not, it is still a great idea to research many different websites for inspiration.

Get all the help you can get during your pregnancy. Here is a shot of Rain and I in her girly, pink nursery.

Brooke and fiance, actor David Charvet, 35, are parents to daughter Heaven Rain, 11 months. She has two daughters — Neriah, 7, and Sierra Sky, 5 — with ex-husband Dr. Garth Fisher. Baby #4 is due in March.

I checked out pictures of rain’s nursery, it’s so beautiful and so girly, I love rooms like that for little girls. Her room is huge too, looks like the size of master bedrooms. As rain gets older, she looks more like brooke than david, she is adorable. Brooke seems sweet I notice on her blog she responds to comments that people ask her about fashion or pregnancy or whatever, and she was saying she doesn’t buy maternity clothes while pregnant because it’s a waste of money and with the style now, you don’t need maternity clothes. I saw her on a few shows this week, she has great style and looks amazing to be 7 months pregnant with her 4th child. And lucky her, she said she has no stretch marks at all.

What a beautiful nursery! I love the polka dot letters..I may order some for my newborn son. I liked that there is already a big girl bed in the room, or is that a bed for Mom to get some shut eye in or the nanny? Does anyone know? I am thinking it is for Rain when she gets older as it all matches, but I don’t know. Good idea for whatever reason it is in there.
