Sophie, Countess of Wessex, leaves hospital with new baby son

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, 42, left her local hospital today with her and husband Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, 43, and their new son. The couple’s second child, James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor, was born Monday, December 17th via C-section. He will go by the title Viscount Severn. The couple is already parents to daughter Lady Louise Windsor, 4.

Awwww i saw him on the news this morning, he looks very cute. That makes him the Queens 8th grandchild. 4 boys and 4 girls. Can’t wait to find out his name!!!

I am thrilled for them, especially that there was no pre-term labor this time, he was early but it was nothing like when Lady Louise was born.
I wonder if they’ll go to Scotland to be with the Queen this Christmas as they usually do? or stay home?

The Royal Family spends Christmas at Sandringham, not in Scotland. Sandringham is close to London (I think).

The baby’s name has been announced as James Alexander Philip Theo Mountbatten-Windsor.

He looks absolutely adorable.
