Brooke Burke blogs about pregnancy fashion

Television personality Brooke Burke, 36, is currently pregnant with her fourth child, and if anyone knows about pregnancy fashion, it’s her.  Brooke gives some fashion tips in her latest blog entry,

Just because you’re pregnant, doesn’t mean you can’t feel sexy. Sometimes focusing on the legs, draws attention away form the belly. I was 6 months pregnant here. Baggy dresses are so fashionable now, pregnant or not! Tights and boots are a great option this holiday season too.

Most of my clothes are not maternity. This season there are so many designs that will fit a pregnant belly. Thank God fashion is on our side this year. Belting below the waist with a long baggy shirt is cool too.

I love J Lo’s sense of fashion, no one knew she was expecting for months because she was hiding it with the right clothes.

Brooke and fiance, actor David Charvet, 35, are parents to daughter Heaven Rain, 11 months. She has two daughters — Neriah, 7, and Sierra Sky, 5 — with ex-husband Dr. Garth Fisher. Baby #4 is due in March.

Why should you have to hide it? Pregnancy is beautiful..

Everyone knew J-Lo was pregnant… she didn’t hide it at all. Those huge baggy dresses? Obvious.

“she was hiding it with the right clothes”

statements like that from celebrities annoy just a little because why on earth would you want to hide a pregnancy? while i totally respect people’s want for privacy and i support people who dont announce their pregnancies publicly (why should they have to?) she makes it sound like something that needs to be hidden. i know we dont all feel fantastic 100 per cent of the time but i think the body is the most beautiful when pregnant! the minute i find out im pregnant ill be showing it all off! haha. no super baggy clothing for me!

I agree with brooke, with the latest style now you don’t even need maternity clothes. The style in general now is loose dresses and loose tops over jeans, so if you’re skinny to begin with like some ladies are and like most celebrities are, you never really need to go into maternity clothes. Christina aguilera and nicole richie are due in a few weeks, and none of their clothes have looked like maternity clothes. And brooke is 6 months pregnant with her 4th child, and you could barely tell. Not that there’s nothing wrong with maternity clothes, but if your small to begin with, most of the time you just go up a few sizes in regular clothes. I like the way pregnant ladies dress now. Halle berry dresses awesome too, but it’s also not maternity wear.

I admit, the statement about hiding pregnancy is kind of strange.I don’t think she meant women should hide their pregnancy but she didn’t make her point clear. I’m guessing she is talking about women who haven’t told their family or friends, they are pregnant yet cause some don’t in the early months and they can hide it until they are ready to start telling people with today’s current clothes.

I think brooke is talking about women who don’t wanna tell people they are pregnant yet, and celebrities who the minute they are spotted with a baby bump rumors start. So with the current fashion, they can hide it at least till they are out of their 1st trimester, and feel comfortable confirming it. Brooke herself, just confirmed it recently, when she was 5 months. Also brooke isn’t the type of woman to wanna hide pregnancy, she has posed with her belly exposed and everything, so she seems proud when she is pregnant IMO. Doesn’t mean she can’t dress in her regular trendy clothes though, just because she is pregnant.

Good ideas about clothes to wear to postpone buying maternity clothes. However, whenever I finally get pregnant I think I’ll be so excited I will want to show off my belly as soon as it shows!

She is 6 months preggie there!? I bet she is having a boy! when I had my son, I barely had a belly. She looks like she is maybe 4 months pregnant there.

Im pregnant now with my third, and I always wear clothes that fit, and are comfy. They dont have to be maternity. But I do sometimes like to wear maternity shirts, because my regular clothing rides up on my tummy, even if they are a size bigger.lol.

Allie I really think brooke is having a baby boy this ime too, and I agree she looks more like 4 months pregnant than 6 months. On her website she was so funny when she confirmed her pregnancy saying she feels like a baby machine because she had rain recently, but she wants to get it over with, so figured she have anther baby close together. I’m thinking she will confirm the baby’s sex soon, she did it with rain, so hopefully she does it this time around.
