Mad for Metallic: Steal Suri Cruise's Shoe Style

12/06/2007 at 10:00 AM ET

SuricruiseshoesFor months now, Suri Cruise has been photographed wearing these ADORABLE silver mary janes. Our search has sent us high and low, but hasn’t provided us with her actual shoes. The closest we’ve seen are the Dolly Shoe by Tip Toey Joey $36. The search for Suri’s shoes inspired this post, as there are tons of metallic options out there. Unfortunately this isn’t a category where boys fare well. Other then a couple of pairs of sneakers there is very little Metallic action for little boys. Sorry,
consider yourself warned!Pomdapiboots

Nothing’s Too Good
Leave it to metallic shoes to bring out a whole new price category! Winter has finally made it’s appearance for many regions in the United States, so why not grab a stylish pair of snow boots that will glitter and gleam as they trudge through snow?

LambkatellatexSpare No Expense
We’re sure Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes don’t pay attention to price tags when they buy things for the littlest Cruise so these particular shoes are not for the faint of heart. There is no shortage of expensive designer brands for children.

Not Pinching Pennies
Children’s feet grow very fast, so spending a lot on a pair of shoes can seem silly to some. Even at lower price points there is no shortage of great-looking metallic shoes. Morgan & Milo make adorable sneaker-looking mary janes in great metallic colors. Who said metallics had to be dressy?

Although very similar, I don’t think these are tip toey joey. Suri’s seem shinier and just a little different. I could be wrong though. My daughter has the tip toey joey version in gold and I have just ordered silver. They are wonderful shoes but they do run small or narrow. The silver is a very muted as is the gold. They are very versatile little slippers.

Bronwyn’s Note: Tara, I actually think I agree with you. The Tip Toey’s have a tag in the back that doesn’t appear to be on Suri’s. Alas, I fear, the shoes still evade us, and I’ve updated the original post.

We bought our daughter a cute pair of red glittery Mary Jane’s at the Children’s Place about two weeks ago on sale for $16.99…they go great with the Santa style dresses!

I’m pretty sure those shoes are from Cocomma, they are from Danmark and are really great shoes.

My daughter has the silver mary jane’s by Morgan & Milo…we love them! She always gets compliments and everyone wants to know where we got them! I love all the metallic shoes…and even though some of them are pricier…if you keep them nice you can always resell on ebay :-)

Suri’s shoes look like PlatyPaws maybe?

Looks like Suri is wearing the same shoes my daughter has:

I bought them at Baby Gap in Tokyo, Japan last summer, love them!

To be honest I think they a look a lot like the Moschino baby shoes which are made in Italy. Although the soles look nothing like the ones Suri has on. And I don’t think they are PlatyPaws or Cocomma either. :/

Yes they are definitely the ones from baby gap! Thanks a ton An! Funny side note, was it not too long ago they were speculating rumors of Suri being the new “Baby Gap model”. :)

Now I’m also 100% sure, look at the sole:

We don’t have a Baby Gap here in Holland and people even offered me money for the shoes!

Melea on

These soles look nothing like the baby gap ones. The baby gap soles are silver and these are not. To me they look like the Cocomma shoes like another person said. The only thing that looks a bit off from Suri’s shoes and the Cocomma shoes are that the back part at the top is a bit thicker on the Cocomma shoes BUT that could be due to Suri’s sock covering part of it up.

Was it Suri or another celebrity baby that was said to be getting custom made shoes? Maybe these are custom made just for her…

Inez on

These shoes are from Cocomma. I sell them in the Netherlands and on Ebay.
