Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie and Maddox in New Orleans for Make It Right project

Actress Angelina Jolie, 32, and son Maddox Chivan, 6, spoke with a member of the National Guard during a news conference to announce dad Brad Pitt’s latest “Make It Right” project — the project plans to build affordable, environmentally friendly homes in the area devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Maddox looks so cute in that sweater! I want to cuddle him. He must have a great sense of community like his parents, seeing as he’s been to orphanages in poor countries and now he’s in New Orleans on the set of Brad’s housing project. I imagine he’s going to mature pretty fast, since he has such socially conscious parents and has seen more of the world than I have!

And I hate to nitpick on something so trivial, but I really, really don’t like Angie’s shoes. She’s a ridiculously gorgeous woman and those are old lady shoes. They don’t flatter her at all.

Maddox is so cute!

Is she speaking to Larry King?

I don’t mind her shoes so much as I wish she would just put on a little weight. She just looks so fragile. Mad is as handsome as ever!

^^ Yes, that’s Larry King.

Maddox is such a cutie! He looks like he loves being with his mom. It’s sweet. And I’ll bet Brad was proud that he was able to take his kid down there and see all the wonderful work they’re doing.

Maddox is adorable as always. He looks like such a little gentleman. I love his mannerism.

I have to comment on the leadership that Brad and Angie are taking in rebuilding New Orleans. What they are doing is MONUMENTAL for the people of New Orleans who have yet to be assisted with getting their lives back in the hometown that was devasted by Hurricane Katrina. When I saw this on the news last night, it just warmed my heart to the core. I am just so impressed with them. I hope many people follow in their footsteps and I wish them much success in their efforts. God bless them!

A friend of mine just returned from New Orleans after the Thanksgiving Holiday and was harmed with photos or the wreckage that still exist to date. The government is clearly not doing as much as they could to assist this region of the United States. So, BRAVO to Brad Pitt for taking the initiative to take the reins on such an undertaking. He clearly has the star power to inspire some of his buddies so I’m sure more people will contribute to such a beautiful cause.

What a wonderful thing Brad is doing for Nola. Brad and Angelina are amazing and inspiring people. Beautiful inside and out.

Maddox is adorable.

Look at how Maddox is holding Angie’s pinky- too cute.
And I agree, those flat shoes have got to go. I’ve seen her in pictures wearing that style before and I really think they are unflattering.
But more importantly- kudos to the Jolie-Pitts. Amazing people.

She looks more lovely than usual. They sure have been keeping a low profile lately. Not alot of paparazzi pictures.

Cute Pictures! As to the shoe comments I wear flats as well mainly because they are comfortable and easy to walk in. The ground in these pictures doesn’t look very conducive to heels. Flats are so much more functional in everyday life. Anyway, I think Angelina would look stunning even if she was only wearing a paper bag ! ;)

Angelina and Maddox look totally comfortable in these pictures. Usually the kids look tense or aloof, but you can tell that this environment is one Maddox is relaxed in. As far as A.J., her choice of ballet flats could be based on comfort, fashion, or convenience (as is they were quickest complete pair of shoes that came to hand–I have 3 kids and sometimes that’s how it goes…). A.J. is totally beautiful and natural looking in these pix, but the fact that she’s wearing a skirt and ballet flats makes her legs look incredibly twig-like and thin.

Other people in the pix are wearing gloves, sweaters, and other winter wear, so her bare legs look a little awkward given that even she is wearing a coat.

She wasn’t wearing a skirt. She had on a pair of trousers which she rolled up probably because the dust from the ground was getting everywhere. Personally, I think she looks fantastic here. Candid shots, no make-up, the wind whipping her hair into a frenzy….I only wished I could look that good!

I think what Brad and Angie are doing down there is wonderful. And I like the fact that they bought Maddox along as well. He is at an age where, unlike his brother and sisters, he understands what’s going on. I’m glad that given his parent’s vast fame and fortune, they are also exposing him to the other side of life.

If there are any children who I believe will not grow into pampered, Hollywood brats, it’s the Jolie-Pitt children.
