Mel B. says Phoenix Chi has 'dance fever'

Melandphoenix That she and partner Maksim ‘Maks’ Chmerkovksiy ultimately finished in second place on Dancing With The Stars hasn’t dampened Melanie Brown‘s spirits, or her 8 1/2-year-old daughter Phoenix Chi’s enthusiasm for dancing.  Between DWTS and her mom’s upcoming Spice Girls world tour, Phoenix is always ready to shake a tail feather, Melanie says.

Maks has been teaching her little routines.  She’s learning routines at the Spice Girls rehearsals, too. She’s got the dance fever.

Participating on the show helped Mel B. return to shape after the April birth of her daughter Angel, who turns 8-months-old next week.  The 32-year-old admits that certain pregnancy cravings took a toll on her physique.

I eat lots of salmon, chicken, egg whites and turkey scrambles (now).  I’ve gone completely off red meat since my baby. I think it’s because I was eating a lot of steak and mashed potatoes when I was pregnant — I overdosed.

Angel’s dad is Mel’s ex-boyfriend, actor Eddie Murphy.  Phoenix’s dad is Mel’s ex-husband Jimmy Gulzar.

I love Mel B. I still wish she had won on DWTS however, it’s adorable to hear about Max teaching her daughter dance moves! I’m sure she has inherited her mother’s talents!!

Aww that’s sweet. How cute would it be if Phoenix grew up to be a performer. She has to be really proud of her mom right now; being on DWTS and being part of one of the hottest girl groups. I can see why it is rubbing off on her a little.

Anyway, I’m not really a spice girl fan and I usually don’t get caught up in the reality shows, but I watched DWTS this year mainly because of Mel B and was disappointed to see her lose to Helio. I think the only one that was as good if not better than her this year was Sabrina. I think it would have been so much more interesting if Sabrina had been around til the end. But of the finalist, Mel B was hands down the best and should have won in my opinion. But though obviously not everyone agrees, I’m glad that she is taking it well and moving on. I’m sure she has a lot more important things going on in her life right now and I’m also sure she benefited from DWTS in so many ways, even if she didn’t win the title.

I envied Mel’s energy, with a small baby and the tour and the competition. I would love to see a clip of Maks teaching Phoenix some moves! Maks and Mel appear to be really great friends and, yes, she was awesome and I would have liked to see her win. I noticed she slimmed down so much, except in the boobs, since she must still be breast-feeding. All but one of the girls in the DWTS competition this year had given birth, which I think is very cool. Between Mel, Jane, Marie, Jennie and Josie, they had 18 kids! Hot mamas, all of them!

It was only time until Phoenix would begin to dance. Her father is a professional dancer too. (but i’m not too keen on him for how he treated melanie) mel said phoenix is quite a tomboy and loves basketball, so i’m glad shes letting her be who she wants to be. Mel seems like a fabulous mother. now Phoenix will learn to dance from the best! Maks rules! I hope they remain very close friends. And i hope her children grow up to be like their mother–not their fathers…well, just their good bits maybe.

Phoenix looks so much like her mom. Melanie did a great job on DWTS.
