Paris Hilton says she's excited to be an 'Auntie'

Nicole Richie is "really happy, and excited, and a little scared" about motherhood, her best friend Paris Hilton told People yesterday.  Apparently Nicole’s first pregnancy has gotten Paris, herself, excited about the prospect of becoming a mom.  Said Paris,

Nicole and I have been playing together since we were two years old.  I was just telling her, ‘I want a baby so that our babies can play together.’

Although she’s currently single, the 26-year-old socialite added that she "would love to start a family" anyway.  Nicole, also 26, is due in January.

There is nothing wrong with what she said.
Paris is always critized for everything she says!!!!!!!!!!!
Its a natural feeling to want to have babies when you are around babies. I feel that way everytime i see little baby clothes.
I feel like having a baby everytime i see the cuteness that is Suri Cruise.
I actually fun to think about Paris and Nicole’s kids being best friends.

I’m not gonna critize paris, she has always said she loves kids and wants to be a mom. And just a few months ago when nicole annouced her pregnany, plenty of people were saying what is she thinking, she isn’t ready,etc. And now everyone loves nicole, so for me I’m not one to judge who will or won’t make a good mom. Having kids changes people sometimes and paris is already 27 it’s not like she is 17 or something, and to be fair ever since paris got out of jail she has been pretty quiet and even done some charity things. Plenty of wild celebrities examples such as angelina, madonna, have had kids and grown up, so whose to say paris can’t be the same.

I’m no fan of either of them, especially Paris, but I will say this in their defense: in what little I did see of The Simple Life, they both seemed to be very good with that little boy in the first season. Nicole in particular was always fussing over him and was really sweet with him. Maybe there is hope for them.

im with gianna-paris has gone pretty quiet since the jail thing. i know ive said this before, but 10yrs no one woulda thought tori would be a good mother, people change….time will tell, i guess.

6 months ago I wouldn’t have thought of Paris as a mother, but since the whole jail debacle, she’s definitely acted like more of an adult and I honestly think she wouldn’t be a terrible mother at all. She’s extremely close to her family and I think she would relish in being a mum.

Maybe if she wasn’t so much in the public spotlight and was really famous for something other than being famous, I think people would respect her more.Right now, I think some people need a break from seeing pictures of her every day/hour. I wouldn’t say she has changed since jail but I do think people are paying less attention to her which makes it seem like she has changed.

I’m sorry, but I just think it’s a little bit pathetic that Paris says she wants a baby just because Nicole is having one and she wants the babies to be little best friends. Having a baby is hard work…something I don’t think Paris is used to, to be honest.

Paris doesn’t SEEM to have changed. She’s still not wearing panties, she’s still hanging out with Brandon Davis, still making fun of other celebrities… time will tell, but I don’t think jail changed her at all.

I’m not blaming Paris for wanting kids, since most women do want kids, but what I personally question is why, because everytime Paris talks about having kids, she manages to make it sound like they’re just another fashion accessory. I mean, having a baby just so your best friend’s child can have someone to play with? Thoughful, but that really does sound like she’d just get Nicole’s baby a new toy…

Sorry that a lot of you seem to be mis-informed.. Paris has not been “quiet” since she’s got out of jail. Just the other day when she went out to lunch with Nicole, there was another “up the skirt shot” with her not wearing any panties.. and the sickest part, was that you could see a little white string hanging out. She has not grown up the way a lot of people think.. the media coverage just isn’t on her as much anymore with Lindsey, Brittney, etc. etc.

But I do think that it’s possible that she could be a good mother, however, nobody will really know until that time comes. And when it does, I hope she’s having children for the right reasons, and not for some type of “fad” or just because everyone else is doing it. JMO, though.

I’m sure Paris wants children, but I’m sure she also wants the best full time nanny money can buy too.

I’m not a fan of Paris at all. I think a child to her would be like an accessory, same way I think Britney views her boys at times. I think Paris would be very good with a child but I doubt she’d want to take care of it full time.

Paris has never been known for exceptional skills of communication. Most of what she says ends up sounding a bit aloof and dippy, even if you can see the point she’s trying to get at is sincere. And of course the media loves to pull blurbs to portray an image even more..

Paris has always been consistent in her desire to have children, which is something I can admire. It’s never struck me as a “Oooh a baby that’S a cute idea I want one now!” trend deal with her. More of “Ooh I’ve always wanted a baby, and now you have one!!” which is totally understandable.

I agree – a lot of people are giving credit where it’s not due, in my opinion. The only changes we have seen — are less press because people are so “over” her. She has a long way to go before she is ready to put someone before herself. It doesn’t sound to me like she wants a baby – just the attention that comes with it. Same old Paris … someone has something she doesn’t have…

We don’t know what Paris is like with children! I first started longing for kids when I was 14..Yes! Because my sister had a baby and I loved it. I’ve always loved kids and today I have four kids at 29 and the oldest is 4 years old. Call me crazy but, I’m not done having kids! And if you’d judge me by my past you’d definitely think I’m a bad mom and that I don’t take good care of my kids, but I do! Otherwise I wouldn’t be having them. Duhh..I figure Nicole is going to be a great mom and Joel is going to be a great dad and I hope Paris finds happiness and has as many kids as she wants:)

Wow, lol! Sorry Rhian, last I remember from the Nicole/Paris twosome, they were arguing and then not speaking. To me, the only thing they seemed to have in common was causing mischief together and carrying tiny dogs in their bags.

I never said she said anything wrong, I’m just confused as to when Paris and Nicole’s high school-like feud ended.
