Yea I think the way she described, having her 2nd child was great. I know my own mother when she was pregnant with her 2nd child my brother and I was almost 6 yrs old, she told me not too long ago how one of the things she worried about was can I love the 2nd baby as much as my first one. But she said automatically you find love for both children equally. Going from 1 to 2 kids is the biggest change IMO, mainly because of things like that. I think after you have 2 kids, if you choose to have more, you already know what to expect and you know you already love more than one child, but when your going from one child to a 2nd baby, that seems to be a common worry among women.

Oh, mother-in-laws! Mine did the same thing, grabbing my pants ‘just to make sure’ and trying to jam my boob into my son’s mouth to ‘help me out’ after he was born. God love ‘em and their helpfulness. ;)

I actually do love my MIL to death (and she stocked my fridge for weeks after my son arrived) but sometimes they’re just too much!

I too got all teary eyed when I read “Onto my chest the baby came, and my heart immediately made more room to love another child.” I’m getting ready to have my third and can’t wait for the experience.

As a Mom of 2 also, I almost teared up when I read this sentence in her blog post:

“Onto my chest the baby came, and my heart immediately made more room to love another child.”

She described the experience of having your second child perfectly!
