Trace Adkins doesn't believe daughters were aware of shooting

Country singer Trace Adkins has overcome a lot in his lifetime including being shot through his lungs and heart by his second wife in 1994. The 45-year-old’s daughters — Tarah, 22, and Sarah, 19 — from his first marriage were upstairs in the house when the shooting took place, and Trace doesn’t believe his children were aware of the shooting.

Not to my knowledge. I don’t think they woke up. The way it was relayed to me after the fact was the babysitter came over, she was called over, some friend of ours who babysat the kids from time to time, she came over to our house and actually had to wake them up and take them home with her.

Trace is now married to Rhonda Forlaw and they have three daughters together — MacKenzie Lynn, 9, Brianna Rhea, 6, and Trinity Lee, 3 next month.

Trace was shot by his second wife during an argument. Actually died on the operating table. Buy his new book for more details.

Trace you are an amazing man. 2002 I shot myself with a 22. it also went into my lung. but missed my heart and tore up my spleen. No iam not crazy I was so depressed over the end of my 20 year marriage. Keep going strong. Your wonderful.
