Tom Brady: John is 'truly a joy'

New England Patriots’ Tom Brady told Boston’s Channel 5 over the weekend that son John Edward Thomas, 3 months, is doing ‘great‘ and is ‘truly a joy.’ The 30-year-old quarterback spent part of his bye week in California with his ex, actress Bridget Moynahan, and their son.

Once the football season ends, Tom said he is hoping to see his son on a more regular basis.

I’m very blessed that he’s healthy and I look forward to spendingas much time with him as I can when the season’s over.

John is the first child for both Tom and Bridget.

Sweet comments from a sweet man! Not his fault the mother moved so far away. He seems to be doing all he can and will do more when his job allows him time off. This guy is a class act.

Although they are nice comments from him, I just hope he follows thru with it. It’s NOT Bridget’s fault that she lives in California, nor did she move there to get away from him, Holly. We don’t know the whole story, so we should all just wish the three of them the best and keep oohing and aahing over how adorable that little guy is … =)

MonkeysMom I agree with you. Like I said in a post a while ago we really don’t know anything about their arrangement with their child, all we know is that he’s a cutie pie!

I wouldn’t call him sweet Holly. He has never said one kind word about Bridget since her pregnancy was announced and he never mentions his son by name.

You ppl. are absolutely crazy! Tom Brady has shown himself over and over again to be a “stand-up” guy professionally as well as personally. I am sorry to say, but when a relationship is on the “outs”- both parties now it, Brig, unfortuantely “got pregnant” at this stage in their relationship- neither of them at fault- sometimes these things happen… you deal and try to make the most of it… I for one, believe Tom is at least “trying” to do that- he certainly needs to be there for his son, NOT for his son’s mother!

I haven’t heard Bridget say anything about him either? Who says they have to talk about eachother.

I just don’t understand why people have such a big problem with Tom.

Maybe no one says anyone nice about Tom because he has a huge problem acknowledging his son and acting respectful toward the mother of his child. Whether they’re together or not is no longer an issue. Common courtesy is.

Natasha and Holly,I just think some of us don’t like him. I didn’t like him pre-Bridget, during Bridget or after Bridget. He just seems so arrogant in his interviews and pictures. I can’t stand arrogance at all whether the person is famous or not.He just seems like his ego is huge and it’s not cute on anyone. Holly, Bridget lives in L.A. for her career just like Tom lives where he is for his job. She has lived in L.A. for a long time…why should she have to move

Natasha,
The problem that most people have with Tom is the whole mess. He left Bridget in a lurch while expecting, and then flaunts Giselle around and not paying much attention to his son. I say way to go Bridget on being a single mom! What an adorable baby you have, girl!
