Update: Lili Taylor expecting daughter in January

Update: The New York Times Fashion and Style section interviewed Lili — she talks about her pregnancy and maternity fashion. Her first child, a daughter, is due in January. Dad is author Nick Flynn, 47, Lili’s boyfriend of three years.

Originally posted October 16th: Actress Lili Taylor, 40, presented the Woodstock Film Festival’s honorary Maverick Award to indie producer Christine Vachon Saturday night and rumor has it that she is expecting. According to blogsite Peace, Love & Movies Lili was ‘very pregnant ‘ at the award festival.

Lili also served as host at the Lucie Awards held last night in New York. She has not made any official announcement as of yet.

she’s so obviously pregnant! i like the new trend of celebs not announcing their pregnancies. it gives them a bit more privacy and we’re all gonna find out anyway eventually, thanks to the bellies! lili looks adorable- i love her outfit, and she’s definitely glowing. my daughter is lili, spelled the same way.

Lili’s fans know that she had an original series on Lifetime this summer called “State of Mind.” Her odd wardrobe (billowy, unflattering blouses) caused speculation on message boards that she was disguising a pregnancy. In the final episode — and by the way, the series was shorter than originally announced — her character was surprised to learn she was pregnant. It seemed that an alternate finale had been filmed because suddenly Lili was noticeably larger and was waddling like a pregnant woman. I think this pregnancy was unexpected, but I hope she’s happy and healthy.

Why should celebrities have to make an announcement on everything they do? It really is none of our business, yet people feel as though they’re entitled to know. ugh.

I’m happy for Lili. I’ve been a fan of her roles since “Say Anything.” That’s the one where she sings “Joe Lies,” right? Classic.

I can’t help it, the pictures of Lili pregnant make me think she’s posing as Lisa on Six Feet Under. That must just mean she’s a good actress with a convincing portrayal.
