2007 Holiday Project Auction: L'ovedbaby

Brown_lovedbaby_nursing_shawl_2sL’ovedbaby is proud to help support the Newman Breastfeeding Clinic & Institute. The pro-breastfeeding company was founded 3 years ago with a single item: their popular 4-in-1 Nursing Shawl, which helps modest moms privately nurse in public…and in style. Aside from using it for discreet nursing or pumping, the 4-in-1 Nursing Shawl can also be used as a pregnancy poncho, a canopy for the stroller/carseat, and a lightweight blankie. Housed in a matching drawstring pouch that can also hold a diaper and wipes, the "nursing shawl that does it all" makes a beautiful and practical gift that any new or expectant mom will surely love.

LovedbabypantsThe soft, faux-suede fabric of the L’ovedbaby 4-in-1 Nursing Shawl is extremely thin, breathable and machine and dryer safe. And, the stylish solid colors complement any outfit mom has on. Now entering its 4th year, L’ovedbaby has grown to include a full line of products, including their innovative Bottle Trees, Arms-Free Swaddlers, and Cotton Basics Clothing Collection in sizes preemie through 12 months. Brooke Shields is a big fan of the company, having sent thank you cards and personally calling the company to rave about their "perfect" nursing shawl and the "yummy and delicious" look and feel of their Cotton Basics clothing that little Grier wore during her first year. With such colors as "out-on-the-town brown," "show & tell caramel," and "grand sand," it’s no wonder L’ovedbaby’s fan base of fashion-savvy moms is growing daily.

It also provides clinicaltraining for pediatric residents, medical students, nurses, andcandidates for those who intend to become International Board CertifiedLactation Consultants.  As the NBCI no longer receives funding from theCanadian government, it is in danger of closing, having already reducedits hours.  Even though the center is in Canada, their work and websiteis an amazing resource to all nursing mothers and those who wish tohelp them.
