Elisabeth Röhm expecting first child — a daughter

Back in August, when asked about starting a family, Elisabeth Röhm told People that she and fiance Ron Wooster, 40, would ‘absolutely have a family. I don’t know when.‘ Turns out the 34-year-old Big Shots actress, best known for Angel and Law & Order, was already expecting, but didn’t know it.

I went to the doctor, and they tested me and said ‘You are pregnant’ — and of course I screamed because it’s a miracle for anyone. I am so excited. I feel great. I feel better than ever. The pregnancy is making me happier than I’ve ever been.

I’ve been sleeping 10 hours a day and eating truckloads of food on a daily basis. I’m eating fruit and yogurt and granola and great vegetables.

The couple have found out that the baby, due to arrive April 28th, is a girl, and have chosen the name Easton for her — or rather, she chose it for herself.

[I had a] dream I was picking her up from a friend’s house, and shewouldn’t respond to her name, Grace. FinallyI said, ‘Easton?’ and she turned around and said, ‘Yes Mommy?’ We wereleaning towards [naming the baby] Grace but in the end decided to giveher the name she asked for.

However, one thing has taken a backseat as Easton takes center stage — Elisabeth and Ron’s planned nupitals.

We postponed the wedding because it’s really less important than having a great pregnancy, and weddings can be stressful. We’re more concerned with the color of her nursery than the type of wedding cake, but it’s all coming together.

They now plan to wed in September 2008.

Wow, we named our second son Easton. I never thought of it as a unisex name.

Love that name and love her. I miss her on L&O but I am so glad she is happy and having a great life. Congrats. Cant wait to hear more as the pregnancy goes on. :)

Wow! I am due three months before that and found out I am having a daughter less than 3 months ago. I thought that was very early. She must have a great OB to let her find out the sex of the baby at 15-16 weeks.

She could have had CVS or amnio done since she’s right there at 34, and gotten the sex early.

I was 34, but was going to be 35 when I delivered. My husband has some issues on his side, and my ob/gyn said, ‘You know, if you want to test with that and you being 35 at delivery, I’d be fine with it.’ We decided not to, but the option was there, so I wonder if the same thing happened with Elisabeth. Julia Roberts knew the sex of her twins at 9 weeks because of the testing she had done.

I watched both Angel and Law and Order. I think Elisabeth Rohm is beautiful and a great actress. I’m sure the baby will be gorgeous.

Aw yay I love her!! Congrats! :)

I love how the baby picked her own name :) That is really cool to have it come to you in a dream!

Ditto Crystal. I love how the baby got her name. Its so hard to choose a baby name so to have it come to you like that in a dream must be like fate!

I knew it! I watch “Big Shots” and didn’t recognize her at first because she’s, um, not as svelte as she was on “Angel” and “Law & Order.” So I immediately suspected that she was pregnant. I’ve just been waiting for confirmation from CBB! Also, two of my nephews (from different sisters-in-law) were named from dreams their mothers had. Pretty cool.

What a great name. I think it work especially well for a girl! However, I don’t think it will work well for my future kids!
