Tom Brady spends time with John during downtime

Making the most of a bye week for his New England Patriots football team, Tom Brady spent time in Los Angeles with his son John Edward Thomas, 3 months this week, and ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.  When asked during an interview with a Boston radio station if he had changed any diapers while out on the West Coast, Tom, 30, replied that he had. 

Ah, yep, yeah, changing diapers too.

Tom was reportedly back in New York by Saturday.  The baby is the first for both Tom and Bridget.

Is this the first time Tom has been reported spending time with his son??

In regards to the first comment, as far as I know this is the first report of Tom spending time with his son. However, Tom does not need to alert the media and have it reported that he spent time with his son. He may have seen him 100 times, and only let the media know this time.
That being said, I am glad Tom finally did mention his son in an interview. It’s about time that everyone, including readers of the CBB backs off on their claims that Tom never sees his son.
Christina has only mentioned being pregnant once, and I don’t see any comments like “Oh she must not want her child!”.

What do you suggest, Sara, that he quit the Patriots, let down his teammates, millions of fans, and abandon a contract he committed to? What kind of lesson would that teach his son? Tom Brady is a good guy who is doing his best in this situation. The football season happens to be a short one, and when it’s over, if he continues to spend time on the east coast instead of with his boy (which I highly doubt) then criticism will be warranted. But until that day comes, leave him alone. I’m so sick of everyone being so critical of him..

Marissa, Brady has Tuesday evening through Sunday night off from the Patriots. He was seen in NYC on Wednesday evening and again Friday and Saturday. Which means if he did indeed see his son, it was for one day. I’m sorry, but Brady does not get any kudos in this situation. He should have spent his entire time off with his child, not in NYC.

I try not to comment on this saga, but I can’t help it today. This is a complicated situation; a situation that we know very few details about so I try not to pass judgement. But here’s a simple little article that just says Tom used his off week to visit his baby and the Tom critics come out. What about Bridget though? I do not mean to criticize, but her move to LA didn’t exactly make it easy for the father of her child (who’s job is clearly in New England) to spend time with the baby. She’s doing what she has to do, he’s doing what he has to do. No fault or blame here……

Accusing Tom of not seeing John is pathetic in my opinion. We know absolutely nothing about his arrangement to see John, what if Bridget had something planned with him that week that Tom was in NYC?

Worry about how much you see your own families and leave Tom alone.

So I’m sure Bridget invited Tom to spend the week right, so that he could see his kid every day? Come on, we know things are probably a little tense there, I’m sure it’s not an easy situation for anyone.

Tom Brady reportedly saw his son…big whoop! Based on sightings of him, it sounds like he MAY have been in CA all of 24 hours. Whatever. He’s got games to play, records to break, models to…well, you get my drift. I love it when his rabid fans plead his case by mentioning all Tommy’s obligations to everyone and everything under the sun…except his son. You can always spot a person who has never been a parent by their comments. NOTHING is or should ever be as important as ones child.

BTW, I LOVE the pic of BM and baby John. He looks so adorably serious in this shot. And Bridget looks beyond gorgeous and happy. I really admire her class and dignity.

People who are complaining about him being able to spend the week with Bridget and John and go back to the Patriots in time for the game on Sunday obviously don’t understand the game of football. If you look at the week starting on Sunday, you have the game. Monday is full of meetings. Tuesday is the day off, but the players usually come in and still work on rehab or preparations for the next opponent. Wednesday’s practices and more meetings. Thursday is practices and more meetings. Friday is a walk-through and more meetings. Saturday is a travel day if you’re playing on the road or more meetings if you are playing at home. Where is there time in the week to fly to California? I agree that Brady should take an invested interest in his son if he’s currently not (which I don’t know if he is or isn’t). However, to say that he could just take off during the week and see his son is crazy if you understand the schedule of an NFL player.

And I don’t think there’s any reason to question Bridget moving to LA either. Actors are even more limited to where they can work than football players. Not that where they work is any of our business either.

Tom Brady and Bridget (Kat) Moynahan have been conversing regularly for quite a while. This story first broke in the Boston Herald today. Moynahan did have animosity at the birth of her son, primarily because she wanted Tom in her life (including marriage) during the pregnancy. Tom had broke it off in November without knowledge of Kat being pregnant (she became pregnant the 1st week of November).

Tom, Bridget and Gisele do not grant interviews on their private lives. Additionally, Tom does provide monies for his son (although not reported in blogs); has been to see him prior to this bye week. Kat did not make it easy for Tom to see him; selling her apt. in NYC and moving to California. She publicly stated she has no current intentions of working until the son is older; hence the move was more out of bitterness, making it extremely difficult for Tom to see the son.

That stated, Tom and Kat buried the hatchet quite a while ago. They converse regularly on the phone and neither is planning to discuss details at this juncture.

To all of the commentors who are criticizing Tom for not seeing his son very often….At least he is seeing his child….and changing diapers to boot! That’s a lot more than can be said for other celeb dads who left their wives/girlfriends while pregnant, such as Eddie Murphy.

Rick – you are one of the Tommie fans who posts under a different name every time you post. Tom Brady has had ample opportunities to visit his son before now, but he has chosen to spend that free time with the panty model. This is another case of his self-indulgence outweighing responsibility. Why did he hurry back from the west coast to be with Gislut Sat & Sun. Once he was there, he could have changed a whole lot more diapers for two more days. Tom is more worried about keeping his panty model happy who wants all his attention. Tom deserves no accolades if he did actually go and see John this past week. He was having an affair with Gislut behind Bridget’s back. He and Gislut proceeded on a campaign to hurt and humiliate Bridget for keeping the baby. Bridget is doing nothing to keep Tom from visiting his son. She wants him to have a part in John’s life. So far that is not important to Tom.
