Ryan Phillippe says parenting has made him a better actor

Crying on command was always difficult for Ryan Phillippe, 33, but since welcoming daughter Ava, 8, and son Deacon, 4, the actor says it’s "easy." 

When I was younger, I didn’t have enough to cry about. But since I’ve had kids, I feel my work has become better, because my life is fuller and more complicated, and I’ve experienced so many highs and lows.   

Ava and Deacon’s mom is Ryan’s ex-wife, actress Reese Witherspoon, 31.
