Rumor: Halle Berry expecting a boy?

If you believe Page Six, we can add actress Halle Berry, 41, to the list of first-time celebrity moms-to-be who are expecting a boy — a list that also reportedly includes songstress Christina Aguilera. An unnamed source told the NY Post‘s gossip column that Halle is "so excited" to welcome a son with boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, 31.

She says she’s never been happier than now, when she’s pregnant.

However, both Halle and Gabriel have said numerous times that they want a delivery room surprise. Halle told Oprah,

We’re going to wait because we have a whole life[time] to know what it is. There’s so few genuine surprises in life anymore — why not have a huge surprise? I like fantasizing [that] one day it’s a girl, one day it’s a boy.

Their first baby is due in March.

I believe Halle is having a boy, because that is my guess from the start when she confirmed her pregnancy and for some reason I just picture her with a son first. I also feel nicole and christina are having boys, but jlo will have a little girl and I also thought salma hayek would have a girl.

Do you think the reason for the large number of boys being born, is because of the current war? They usually say that when there is war, there tends to be greater proportion of male children being born.

I dunno. I don’t usually believe any tabloids unless they have a confirmation from the parents-to-be. InTouch said Christina was having a girl before, even claiming that she had a sonogram in LA when she was actually still in Japan. And Halle and Gabriel want it to be a surprise, so how would a “source” really know? Tabloids have been wrong many times before, I mean Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie were both having boys, remember? Page Six is just another tabloid filling spaces.

Ekaterina- ITA! Remember, there was also a recent tabloid rumor that Nicole and Joel (who also have stated multiple times that they will not be finding out the sex of their baby prior to birth) were having a boy….And while that may technically still end up being true (since even Nicole and Joel won’t know the sex until delivery), CBB’s exclusive Richie-Madden source (the friend of Joel’s) has confirmed that Nicole and Joel have still not found out the sex, and aren’t going to.

Like Ekaterina said, it was also reported that Katie Holmes and Angelina Jolie were having boys when they were pregnant with Suri and Shiloh respectively. Angie and Brad, I think, DID find out Shiloh’s sex prior to her birth (I think I remember them saying that they knew, but weren’t going to share). However, after Suri was born, Katie said that she and Tom had NOT found out the sex before the birth (but that she had been “craving pink the whole nine months”).

In otherwords, the rumor about Katie was yet another “it’s a boy!” rumor about a couple who, in fact, had decided not to find out the sex of the baby prior to the birth.

Anyway, I think that Nicole, Christina, and Halle are ALL going to have girls. It seems that, when the tabs report that a celeb baby is going to be one gender, it almost always ends up being the other (two cases in point: Suri and Shiloh)! LOL!

I also personally think that CBB should not post any “(inseret celeb’s name here) expecting a (insert gender here)?” rumors about celebs who have made it clear that they will NOT be finding out the sex prior to delivery (especially in cases like Halle’s, where she has stated that fact multiple times). Obviously, in those cases, the rumor more than likely isn’t true in terms of them knowing the sex. Besides which, when has Page Six ever been right about anything? LOL!

I disagree about CBB shouldn’t report on rumor stories. There have been rumors have that have been right, examples such as britney being pregnant with her 2nd child, salma hayek not only pregnant with a little girl but naming her daughter valentina and sure enough she did, jennifer lopez being pregnant, etc. This is a celebrity type site, and sometimes rumors are right, and if there not, what’s the worst that happens halle has a girl instead of a boy lol. And how do you know celebrities who are saying they don’t wanna know the sex, aren’t indeed finding out and maybe just don’t wanna share every single thing with the public. I know catherine zeta jones and denise richards said while pregnant they didn’t know the sex of their baby, and after the babies were born both admitted they did know the sex and just didn’t wanna share it. So just because a celebrity says they don’t know, doesn’t always mean they are always saying the truth. JLO also said 2 months ago she was not pregnant, and now we see she is, so celebrities are entitled to keep some things to themselves and I think they often do.

Miss115 – I don’t follow your comments. There is always a war somewhere, so does that mean that there are always more boys being born? Now there is war in the Middle East, but 15 years ago it was in Central Africa. Can you think of a time when there wasn’t any war in the world?

Halle looks so beautiful pregnant! I don’t care what the sex of the baby is. I’m always curious about the name though. Can’t wait!

I think she’s having a boy from the way she is carrying:-) I know that each woman carries differently so she could be having a girl too. Either way she and Gabriel will have a beautiful baby and I look forward to the name too:-)

I think it’s speculation because on Lettermen she talked about craving foods and said that she heard she was having a boy bc she craved salty things. Then on Ellen for fun she performed two other myths on Halle (one was the ring on a string and I forget the other) and both came out boy as well.

So the news could of ran with it and claimed bc of those 3 myths that it’s a boy.

I mean it could be true. There is a 50/50 chance! lol

I happen to think it’s a boy as well. But I think she’d be happy w/ anything!
