Nicolette Sheridan says she'd love to be a mom

Desperate Housewives star Nicolette Sheridan recently shared that although she’ll be turning 44 later this month, she hasn’t given up on the idea of motherhood.  Engaged to singer Michael Bolton, Nicolette admits that if she were to become pregnant she doesn’t know how she’d "have time to deal with it."

But being a mom is so special. Of course, if it happened, I would just make time!

Michael is already dad to three adult daughters from a previous marriage.

Sigh. Is this lip service or is she really this uneducated about fertility? First-time pregnancies don’t “just happen” at age 44. I’ve honestly never heard an unfamous woman talk this way. These celebrities kill me.

I might be hurting a few people’s feelings now but I think there’s a time for everything. Her time has probably passed at age 44. The train has left the station as far as I’m concerned. I thought my mom was old when she was 36 when she had me.

Her time mau have not passed, marcia cross had twins a 45, nancy grace at 48, so did beverly diangelo at 48. With money a lot more things are possible, so you never know

The women you mentioned had fertility treatments and/or in vitro. Nicolette is acting like she will wake up pregnant one day. More often than not, it is simply unrealistic.

Come on she’s turning 44 not 74! And if she really was into having children she’d probably be going through treatment. She just said that if it happened, it would be great, not a “it’s going to happen”. My mom had me at the age of 36 too and she wasn’t old in any way to have a baby (and I wouldn’t mind if she were older, actually), you should look at her now, I think she’d kill us (my brother and I) if we were to tell her she would be a grandma LOL.

sorry, i don´t mean to be rude, but first time pregnancies can happen at 44. That was the exact age my aunt was when she got pregnant with my cousin, and she had been married for 7 years and it was a surprise pregnancy.It´s not the norm, but they can happen naturally, without medical assistance. Either way, I wish Nicolette the best.

I think she was just making the comment to be polite, because she was asked, but I don’t get the feeling from this that she is dying to have a child.

I was flipping through the channels and I think it was Inside Edition and they were doing a story on older moms in hollywood. They said that Nicollette Sheridan is currently pregnant. I thought I heard it somewhere else that she was as well but I haven’t seen anything on CBB about it so maybe it is just a rumor?

I really believe that in a lot of cases, older mothers make much BETTER mothers. Although its so true that pregnancy doesn’t just happen at age: 44. Yes there is a LOT of technology these days, BUT do you really want to be a GRANNY showing up at the high for their graduation??? You have to think about what things will be like years down the road when the child is in their teens.
