Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony confirm pregnancy at Miami concert

Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez, 38, has finally publicly confirmed her pregnancy at the last concert in Miami, on her latest tour. It has been rumored — and confirmed by many — that she and her husband, Marc Anthony, 39, were expecting their first child (possibly children — rumors of twins continue to circulate).

Jennifer told the crowd excitedly,

Marc and I are expecting.

After her announcement, Marc kissed Jennifer’s belly and said,

I didn’t know she was going to talk.

JLo joked to the crowd for the rest of the concert after her announcement.

You don’t mind if I catch my breath for a minute?

The couple were married in 2004. This will be their first baby (or babies) together. Marc has three children — Arianna, 13, Cristian Anthony, 5 1/2, and Ryan Anthony, 4.

ya know it’s funny–we’ve known all along that they are obviously pregnant but hearing her say it–it just makes your heart pound because you know how much they’ve both wanted it and they are just doing things on their own time and you can tell they are just completely over the moon…I am absolutely ECSTASTIC about baby Lopez-Anthony…haven’t been this excited since Miss. Violet was born…I can’t wait to see what miracle these two create…

I knew she was pregnant obviously, but hearing them confirm it is just great because it makes it reality. So happy for them, jen has wanted to be a mom for awhile. Now I’m curious if it’s one baby or 2, and when she is due.

Even though it was obvious that she was pregnant- I’m glad that she is having a baby-you can tell she always wanted one. She probably didn’t say anything sooner because she probably wanted to make sure that it was really true. There were stories that she tried to conceive with no avail. Can’t wait to see the little one.

In reponce to DS (comment above); Why are people saying finally to this? If people KNEW that they were obviously pregnant, why is there a need for them to publicly announce it? It didn’t seem like she was hiding anything, she was out and about smiling and happy.

I know they are celebs in the spotlight and all, but if it is obvious she is expecting, why was there such a need for her to confirm it? Stuff like this makes me wonder, the way some people will hang on it like it’s a rush. (shrug)

Nice to hear she acknowledged her pregnancy! Though her ever-changing body said it for her, as did her family and friends. But anyway, I can now wish her the best with this pregnancy and can’t wait to see this baby.

I for one knew she was, it was very obvious. But as a mother myself I am very excited for her and that she finally said something, makes it more real. And for the people who wonder why it is a big deal it is because we make it a big deal. That is why we buy the music and go to the concerts.
