Amelia Heinle finds bright spot with pregnancy storyline

Although her heavily-pregnant character on The Young and the Restless was recently depicted in a comatose state (after being struck on the head by a falling piece of rock, naturally) actress Amelia Heinle, 34, welcomed the storyline.  Pregnant in real life with her second son, Amelia noted that,

I was just glad I got to relax because the end of a pregnancy is always so hard.  You just want it to be over already.

Filming the scene in question was humorous, not only for Amelia but also for the crew, she said.

We were laughing so hard … There was one guy on the crew and he was up way high on the ladder and was throwing them at me from there.  They were hitting me pretty hard, so I was like, ‘Ow!’  Then they were like, ‘Why don’t we stand behind the camera and throw it?’  They were trying to get the perfect hit, so these guys were spending their night throwing Styrofoam blocks at a pregnant woman’s head.  We thought it was hysterical.  They couldn’t believe that this is what they were being paid to do that day.

Amelia already has an 11-year-old son, August Manning, with ex-husband Michael Weatherly.  The new baby, with husband Thad Luckinbill, 32, was reportedly due in late-October, but apparently hasn’t arrived yet!

Yeah, that rock scene was pretty unbelieveable – literally. Now we are all waiting to see if her character makes it or not!

Congrats to Amelia and Thad, though, as they have a lot of chemistry together and seem so happy.

I can’t wait for Amelia and Thad to have their baby. He’s going to be gorgeous (look at his dad).

I’ll keep checking my issues of Soap Opera Digest and CBS Soaps In Depth for the announcement that they’ve had their little boy.
