Jerry O'Connell has big plans for a baby

Newlyweds Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn are ready to become parents; So ready, in fact, that they recently met with the producer of Rebecca’s show Ugly Betty to discuss the possibility of writing around a  pregnancy, should one occur.  Because Rebecca’s character Alexis is transgender, their options are somewhat limited, Rebecca, 35, noted. 

It could be a hysterical pregnancy.  There are people who want to be pregnant so badly that they put on weight in that area. Or maybe Alexis could put on a tremendous amount of weight, and I’d wear a fat suit around the pregnancy.

When it comes to getting pregnant, Jerry, 33, says that the couple is "definitely working at it."

It’s never as easy as everybody thinks. It just isn’t. When you’re married to Rebecca, you should try to have as many children as possible. And I want to do that before she figures out that she could do a lot better than me.

I thought that I always read that the reason that her and John Stamos’s marriage broke up is because she didn’t want kids.

I’m always wondering (even after almost 8 years) when my husband is going realize he could do so much better than me. But he says he feels the same way about me so I guess it works out!

Karen, I thought the same thing when I read this. I am pretty sure that is why her marriage to John broke up. Maybe she changed her mind?

I also thought that Rebecca and John broke up because he wanted children and she didn’t. Jerry however seems to be really pushing the matter! Maybe she gave in? or maybe she just changed her mind.

Kids being an issue with her marriage to John Stamos may have been the case at the time, but I suppose she could’ve changed her mind with Jerry especially since she’s 35 and this is her second marriage. (Or maybe she just didn’t want to have kids with John and is considering it with Jerry for other reasons than just age? Or maybe she & John had other issues within their marriage, that didn’t involve just having children?)

Either way best of luck to Rebecca & Jerry in their efforts to have kids. And best of luck to John too in becoming a father, although if Brad Pitt can do it he can too.

I just love these two. Even though they are celebrities, they seem to lead a fairly normal life. I think that Rebecca probably wasn’t ready for kids at the time she was married to John and I’m sure that put a lot of strain on their marriage. I’m glad she is happy now and ready to start a family. I also applaud their honesty and the fact that they are sharing this information with their fans. I wish them success in the babymaking department.

It’s weird, I saw a picture of her a few days ago and thought she looked like she might be pregnant – she had that glow and looked a little rounder. Just a hunch, but something tells me they already have one on the way. Maybe this writer’s strike comes at a perfect time for them?
