Brad Paisley talks about raising an early riser
While many new parents reading this may still be working on getting their babies — and by extension, themselves — adjusted to daylight savings time, country singer Brad Paisley probably didn’t mind turning the clocks back one bit. Although his 8-month-old son William Huckleberry, with actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, routinely wakes up at 6 a.m. Brad says he makes the most of those first few hours with the baby.
I’ll strap him onto me and we’ll go down to the other house on the property or drive up to the horses and feed them some apples. It’s the greatest thing in the world to be up early and have a little boy.
Of course, the nature of his job does give Brad a built-in-break from the early morning grind. The country singer joked that "those days when I can get on that tour bus and let it go down the road are almost like being on a yacht." Being away from Huck is still difficult, however, but Brad says he keeps the distance between he and his son in perspective.
At the same time, I usually only work three days a week out on the road. I see my kid more than people with day jobs.
Huck is the first child for Kimberly and Brad.
