15 weeks pregnant: Butter up!
They say that hope springs eternal, and I am a perfect example. All through my first pregnancy I hoped I would not get stretchmarks. I did not actually DO much to prevent them, but my mom didn’t get them, so I hoped real hard. And for the first 39 weeks I was good. It was week 40 that did me in. Days, mere hours before birthing my baby – they bloomed.
You’d think I would have learned by the second time, but no. Once again I hoped. And every once in a while I used a little random lotion on my belly. Ha ha. The stretchmarks got me again. Those last two weeks.
Well I’ve learned my lesson. This time around I am still hoping not to get stretchmarks on what’s left of my belly. But I am also doing something about it sooner rather than later. I am using Tummy Honey religiously. Every day. It smells great and is nice to rub on and Gwyneth Paltrow used it too which I find somehow reassuring.
