Rumor: Madonna wanted Tupac to father her child
According to a new unauthorized biography on Madonna, the singer, 49, wanted to have a child with rapper Tupac Shakur during their brief relationship in the 90’s. In the upcoming book, Madonna: Like an Icon, author Lucy O’Brien claimed Madonna "desperately wanted children and had various relationships with unlikely men" throughout her mid-30’s.
Madonna’s friend Alison Clarkson backed up the allegation, stating Tupac, who enjoyed his “Thug Life” reputation, refused to father a child with Madonna because his friends endlessly teased him about his relationship with the Caucasian singer.
She was going out with him … but homegirls were saying to him, "I can’t believe you’re going out with a white girl.”
Madonna eventually had her first child, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, in October 1996, with then-partner Carlos Leon. She also has two other children, Rocco John Ritchie, 7, and David Banda Mwale Ciccone Ritchie, 2, with husband Guy Ritchie.
Tupac, meanwhile, was murdered in September 1996.
