Brooke Shields has a jealous little girl when it comes to Hannah Montana

Brooke_shields_101407_1_cbbActress Brooke Shields’ oldest daughter, Rowan Francis, 4, "is obsessed with Hannah Montana," so when the 42-year-old mother of two was asked to guest on the television show, she knew she couldn’t turn it down.

Brooke brought along her excited little girl when she was set to tape her scenes, in which she portrays the late mother of Hannah, played by Miley Cyrus. However, in one scene Brooke’s line was "It’s okay, baby girl" and she hugs Miley — but that was not okay with Rowan, as "baby girl" is Brooke’s term of endearment for her daughter. Rowan immediately stood in the audience and started shouting,

Nooooo — That’s my mama for real life.

To try to make her daughter feel better, after the taping Brooke brought Rowan down to meet Miley. And while Miley was extremely nice and told Rowan, "It was so nice for you to let me borrow your mom for today", the little girl was not done getting her point across and replied,

It’s okay, but she’s my mama for real life.

Brooke and her husband, television writer/producer Chris Henchy, also have a younger daughter, Grier Hammond, 18 months.

Just how cute that little girl is?

And not scared of voicing her opinion and stating how things are.

Wow. I’m kind of surprised she lets her daughter watch Hannah Montana. It’s pretty mature for a 4 year old. I don’t let my 7 year old watch it.

That’s adorable!

Snapper…just curious, I’ve seen Hannah Montana, and I don’t know how it’s “too mature”. What do you mean? I’ve never seen anything inappropriate but maybe I missed something.

Rowan is so pretty, and has the cutest personality.

Stephanie, I agree. It seems to me as a harmless show and kind of cute.It reminds me of Clarissa explains it all but younger

Hannah Montana a mature show for a 4 year old? imo is a very nice show, with nothing “mature”… i mean, is funny, light, and with an appropriate language (i watch it in italian, but i guess the translation is the same as english) and the music is great! my almost 3 yr old daughter doesn’t watch it (not because I don’t let her, just because she doesn’t care) but loves hannah montana songs, she dances with her songs since she was 2 :)

Anyway, the story of Rowan is so funny! :)

Heh…we are obsessed with Hannah Montana in this house as well. Nice to have such a clean cut role model. Disney does a great job with parent/child relationships on their shows.

Yes, very harmless and cute. Ok, I’ll admit it…I watched a Hannah Montana marathon a few months ago, without any reason to since my daughters are only 14 months and 10 wks.

We are a Hanana Montana obsessed household. I dvr it every week and my husband and I watch it right along with my 5 yr old daughter. My sons who are 1 and 3 also watch it with us but they mainly dance around the living room to the music. BUT, my 3 and 5 year old have taken to the term “sweet niblets” and use it all the time! I have a hard time getting angry at whatever it was that they did when they use such a funny term!

I have a 7 year old daughter and I allow her to watch the show. I also allow her three year old brother to watch it. It’s better than Sponge Bob and Barney in my opinion.

my 7 yr old cousin loves hannah montana, and she even watches it with her 3 yr old sister. so far ive never seen anything on there that is completely age unappropriate. sure some of the subject lines might go completely over the head of a 3 yr old, but at the same time, no one’s scrambling to change the channel during the show for fear of her hearing or seeing something bad.

rowan’s comments were too cute! that is pure honesty from a child at it’s best.
