The View's Elisabeth Hasselbeck on the stress of moving
Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 30, was boarding a plane and moving temporarily to Arizona within hours of completing her last day co-hosting The View on Tuesday. She plans to give birth and spend her maternity leave in Arizona cheering on the Arizona Cardinals where her husband, Tim Hasselbeck, 29, plays quarterback for the team. She told People:
Is it hectic? Is it stressful in my ninth month of pregnancy? Yes! But is it all worth it? Without a doubt.
Elisabeth, already mom to Grace, 2 1/2, is excited that her maternity leave is lined up with her husband’s football season. As a New Yorker, she is experiencing some nervousness about the move. She explained:
Tim called and said, ‘the pace her is definitely not what you’re used to!’ They may need to restrain me.
Elisabeth realizes what it means to be together as a family during the coming birth of their second child, who is due around November 11.
For us to to be able to all be together during my maternity leave? This is all just a blessing.
She says her biggest challenge ahead will be life without The View for a little while.
The show is a way of life. I’ll be sitting with Grace having ‘Hot Topics’ over cereal in the morning. I told Barbara, ‘I have the number! You’ll be hearing from me!‘
Elisabeth plans to return to The View around January 6, 2008. She added:
But I’ve learned not to plan anything too well. I planned to have the baby here in New York. So my plans apparently mean nothing!
