Jermaine Jackson's request for 50-50 custody denied
Allegations of unfit parenting flew yesterday in a court hearing to decide custody of Jaffar, 11, and Jermajesty, 7, Jackson, the two sons of Jermaine Jackson and his estranged wife Alejandra.
According to TMZ, Alejandra told the judge overseeing the case that Jermaine "doesn’t help [the boys] with their homework, forgets to pick them up from school, and doesn’t give them lunch money." In an August filing with the court, Alejandra complained that Jaffar and Jermajesty sleep in the same bedroom with Jermaine and his current girlfriend, an arrangement she deemed "unhealthy." Yesterday the judge rejected a request by Jermaine — who currently sees the boys on alternating weekends — for 50-50 custody, and ordered the former Big Brother UK contestant to pay $7,762 per month in spousal support for Alejandra and $3,749 per month in child support.
