Why is it that people are always so shocked that women are out and about close to their due date? I took my daughter to her Gymboree class at 39 weeks pregnant and was told that I was crazy for being out that close to my due date (I was due 3 days later.) I’m now “overdue” (I was due the 15th) and continue to go out and do what I need to do. If the baby wants to come, I’m prepared, we have back up plans and know how to handle things if my water breaks at the supermarket or if I go into labor while we’re out to lunch. Women give birth all the time, it’s time to normalize pregnancy and labor.
