Nicole Richie, 26, and rocker Joel Madden, 28, were spotted walking outside their Sydney hotel on Thursday. The two are currently in town for Good Charlotte’s tour, and expect their first child in early January. More images available at Just Jared.

I said the other day that she didn’t look big enough for this point in her pregnancy, but now I take it back. She looks terrific. Just the right size. Pregnancy has done wonders for her. I hope she has a safe and healthy rest of the pregnancy and delivery and a beautiful, healthy baby. God bless Nicole and baby.

My only concern is how much sun she is getting. My OB warned me about getting too much sun and it being bad for the baby. I was pasty white during my pregnancy, despite spending most of my first trimester at the pool or the lake. I slathered on sunscreen and kept in the shade.

I haven’t heard that getting too much sun is harmful too the baby before, Just that you just have to be more careful spending so much time in the sun that you don’t get dehydrated.
