Update: Sally Taylor welcomes a son; first grandchild for James Taylor and Carly Simon

Update: The couple have chosen a name for their son: Bodhi Taylor Bragonier.

Originally posted October 6th: Songstress (and celebrity baby in her own right) Sally Taylor,33, and her husband Dean Bragonier have welcomed their first child, a son. This is also the first grandchildfor her parents, singer/songwriters James Taylor and Carly Simon. The child, known for now as ‘Baby Boy Bragonier,’ was due to arrive in September, but made his debut on October 4th instead.

Talk about coincedence! As I was singing my daughter to sleep last night with James Taylor’s “Close Your Eyes” (covered by Carly Simon and her children Sally and Ben on her CD “Into White”), I thought about Sally and wondered if she’d had her baby, as she was due in September. The very day I was thinking about her, she’d given birth! Congrats to them. He’s very cute! (Also, I recommend Carly’s CD to mothers…it’s lullabies for adults and children!)

haha i was thinking the same thing maggie! his name sounds familiar but cant place him. He must have been popular WAY back when, im 27! That baby is very cute though, love the little hat he has.

Bodhi-I couldn’t have expected anything different from Sal. She’s an earthy kind of girl. I was thinking even Dhani, like George Harrison’s son-gee, that was close.
JT’s been around since 1968, but got really popular with his 1970 lp ‘Sweet Baby James’. And who doesn’t know Fire and Rain. : )
