i have a few of her alblums including her hits but finally purchased “relections” because there was several songs from her later years along with some of her first bit hits.
i finally got down to “love of my life” and it really knocked my socks off emotionally speaking. her lovely voice and the way she puts her heart and soul into everything she sings just had me playing this song over and over again all the way to work and back home the next morning.
no one can ever tell me that men are any less emotional than women,we just don’t show it in public as much but believe me as tears were welling up in my eyes listening and i was choking up listening to the lyrics- well just listen yourself and make your own decisions.

Love of My Life is one of my favorite Carly Simon songs as well!! It’s interesting (or telling) she changed one of the verses that mention Woody Allen to one that mentions Mia Farrow.

“Love of My Life” hs been my song to my own (now 26 year old) daughter for many years. I have it downloaded on every single CD that I’ve made the lyrics speak my feelings toward her. She, also, has “Love of My Life” downloaded on a couple of her CDs. Each time she hears it she lets me know. I hear it daily on my CDs. After all these years, I occasionally still cry when I hear it. THANK YOU, CARLY SIMON, for giving us your song to make as our own for each other.
