Jennifer Connelly tries 'not to bring work home'
Oscar winning actress Jennifer Connelly, 36, stars in the upcoming movie Reservation Road. The movie deals with every parent’s worst nightmare – losing a child. Jennifer told OK! that as a mother, the work became difficult at times. In fact, she even experienced nightmares during the filming. Jennifer explained:
Consciously, I really strive not to bring my work home with me. I really try to be very vigilant and not think about my children in the sort of context that you see.
Jennifer continues talking about her experiences with the role saying it was ‘inevitable’ as a parent to have difficulty dealing with such a heavy topic. She said:
It’s about being a mom and my children and looking over my shoulder, and it’s so important to me as a person and so many things happened that I’ve never experienced.
As mentioned above, Jennifer struggled to get a good night’s sleep during filming. She explained:
I’m a champion sleeper and I had a hard time sleeping, my jaw was locking up and I was having nightmares. So it really affected me even though I tried my hardest not to let it.
Jennifer and husband actor Paul Bettany, 36, have son, Stellan, 4. Jennifer and ex David Dugan also have a son, Kai, 10. Reservation Road’s New York premiere was held Thursday. The movie’s release date elsewhere in the U.S. is October 19th.
