First daughter Myla arrived after a relatively easy delivery. Lael (pronounced Lay-el) was the opposite though, Tamia says.
She’d still be in me if we hadn’t induced!
But they did and Lael weighed a healthy 8 lbs. 6 oz. at birth, a welcomed blessing given Tamia’s battle with multiple sclerosis.
[Pregnancyhormones] actually help minimize the symptoms. I was so happy to telleveryone that I felt great…that MS doesn’t mean a death sentence.
Nowthe couple must deal with another issue — the NBA season. Grant, aforward for the Phoenix Suns, is dreading being away from his girls.
DuringMyla’s first year, I was injured, so I was home all the time. I couldplay with her anytime I wanted, and I knew everything that happened. Now that I’m back on the court, I will have to travel, and that’s goingto be tough.
But when he’s home, you can bet they will all, even their Maltese Sweetie, be together — just like the Jolie-Pitt family.
Mylalikes to sleep in bed with us, and Sweetie sleeps at the foot. WhenLael gets bigger and starts wanting to sleep in bed with us, it’s goingto be really crowded. And if we have another baby, we’re going to needa bigger bed — or one of the kids will be sleeping down at the foot ofthe bed with Sweetie!
