Milla Jovovich can't wait to relax after giving birth

MillabumpResident Evil: Extinction star Milla Jovovich, 31, has one month of pregnancy to do, so what is she looking forward to the most after she delivers her and fiance Paul W.S. Anderson‘s baby girl?

I cannot wait to be able to drink three glasses of champagne and just hang out!

RELAX? AFTER BIRTH?
HAHAHAHAHA!

- Preesi on

Keep dreaming!

Okay that’s nice she wants to get back sipping wine and chillin’ with her friends not the “I want to just hold my BABY.” She could’ve at least said I can’t wait to bring my little girl into this world and hold her and love her. I love Milla but she just doesn’t think before gives her statements.

- Sheri on

So I suppose that means she will not breastfeed.

Oh, celebrities and their fantasy worlds…

Oh….really….I guess if she has nannies and uses formula then 3 glasses of champagne and hanging out is in her future post baby….if not then she has an adjustment to make!

- Betsy on

Okay I agree it wasn’t the most appropriate statement, but seriously she is probably just getting to that point in her pregnancy that she is just worn out.

Lydia – God forbid she doesn’t breastfeed, I wish people wouldn’t worry so much about whether other women breastfeed! I don’t get why its anyone else’s business.

- Diana on

So true, Diana. Whether or not to breastfeed–or even if you can–is a personal issue.

I recently gave birth, she was 12 days overdue I was fed up with being pregnant but all i thought about was ‘I wanna hold her,I wanna see her face, cuddle her etc.’ but drinking alc and hanging out was the last thing i had in mind.

She might have all of this planned now,but she is a first time mum so lets see how it is really going to be once reality hits her.

I don’t see the problem with her statement. It just sounds like she is tired of being pregnant and there is nothing wrong with that. Not everyone has an easy pregnancy and feel great.I’m sure it will feel nice to have her own body back and have some control back as well. From past interviews, she sounds excited to meet her little girl but people jump on her for this one statement. Also, if she breastfeeds, that’s her business, not ours.

- Renee on

I was at 30 weeks and wishing I could just be with my friends and have champagne too. I love my daughter with all my heart and wanting to have a little ME time doesn’t affect that.

She probably misses being able to have a glass of champagne – it doesn’t make her an alcoholic. I felt the same way. I was tired of no sushi, no wine, no raw cheeses – I missed the stuff. You give up a lot when you are pregnant, and even though it’s all worth it in the end, you don’t know this until you have the baby in your arms.

I also don’t think you can really realize that you will have no opportunity to “kick back and relax” right after having a baby, but like the rest of us, she’ll learn when it happens to her.

As for breastfeeding and alcohol – she can definitely have a glass of champagne and breastfeed! There’s nothing wrong with that. I wouldn’t recommend having THREE before nursing though :>

Diana and Meghan- I can’t speak for Lydia, but the reason reason I am concerned so much about whether or not women breastfeed is because it is what’s best for the baby! I mean, look at all the benefits it has (including some benefits for the mom, including, I think, a reduced risk of getting breast cancer later on)!

I know that whether or not to breastfeed is a personal issue, and I don’t judge people just because they did or didn’t breastfeed. However, my personal opinion is that, if a woman is able to breastfeed, she should at least try to do so. If I ever have children, I certainly intend to breastfeed them and do everything I can to make it work!

All of that said, the last thing I want to do is start yet another brest vs. bottle/formula debate. I am just sharing my opinion, and some of the reasons why Lydia might have commented on whether or not Milla will breastfeed.

LOL! Does that mean she’s giving the baby away once she’s born or what?
